Our client, a successful and established IT support company with nearly 100 staff requires a talented ICT consultant to be field based working across various sites in London. Delivering a high standard of technical support, your role will be to work with school staff to improve teaching and learning through ICT solutions. One of our clients is a school support company, based in the midlands with 100's of schools buying into ICT, MIS, Broadband services etc, requires a technician with experience of supporting IT networks, ideally from working in schools. The main location of work is one of their secondary schools in the Gloucester area, however you will on occasion be required to cover other schools so a car owner a driver is essential. As well as working in the school you will be part of a larger company with opportunities to progress in the company and take on more responsibility over time as well as training etc The main school has a good mix of windows technology and all the usual secondary hardware and software so a good understanding of a secondary network would be great, technologies may include (although not essential to this post) windows server, windows 10, mac's, active directory, dns, dhcp, vmware, hyper-v, meru, cisco, citrix, san, exchange, 365 etc Immediate start for the right person!

Really interesting all through school based in East London, with good transport links, requires an interim contractor capable of managing the network during term time and through the holidays including some summer project work. You will need to have strong technical understanding of a range of technologies including windows software from server 2008 to 2016, VMware VM’s, Cisco switching, Ruckus Wireless, Desktops with Windows 10. This role is primarily based at the upper school in the core IT team reporting into the network manager and covering the 9am to 5pm shift. We are looking for a 1st/2nd line technician / service desk / helpdesk / desktop engineer, ideally with education sector experience, with an analytical approach to problem solving and willing to learn and progress. Main tasks and responsibilities will include, administrating Microsoft Active Directory including group policies, installing and configuring hardware and software across the foundation, maintaining and assisting in managing class sets of iPads / laptops, creating and maintaining documentation for common support procedures, maintaining the central asset inventory, meeting the demands of various departments across the foundation, assisting in maintaining AV equipment, provide a basic level of training to support staff, identify training requirements amongst teaching staff and to provide a limited support service to staff home computers. We require a candidate with the skills and ability to work in a team and on their own, troubleshoot with a strategic and analytical approach, in depth understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Open Directory, understanding of LDAP, experience with Microsoft technologies including Windows 10, understanding IP networking, switches and cabling and it would be advantageous if you have experience of Apple hardware and software. You will be reporting to the Technical Services Manager. Your role as ICT Technician will be to provide a range of high quality technical support services to the company’s client base delivered through onsite and remote means. We are currently recruiting for a Digital Media Technician for an outstanding educational establishment and charity in the Camden area. The Digital Media Technician will work with the Assistant Headteacher. The role will include duties such as developing the school website, social media, online virtual learning tool and multimedia output within the school to provide a consistent and up to date brand message promoting the school. Responsibilities will include responsibility for maintaining Firefly, responsibility for training staff in the use of Firefly, responsibility for digitising teaching resources as and when required, help maintain and design the school website, maintain the school twitter feed including promoting key events and during school holidays assisting the IT department with installation and upgrade of IT infrastructure. ICT Manager East London Full Time Contact – January 2017 start Salary negotiable dependent on experience Job Description We are working with an East London based dynamic academy that has been established just over three years to secure a contract ICT Manager to join them from January 2017. You will hold responsibility for the academies IT support – this is a new post as the school has previously outsourced all IT support to an external IT support company so the priority is to set strong in-house ICT foundations that that the school can build its IT provision upon. Reporting into the Principal your position will involve designing and recommending medium and long term IT strategies to keep the school up to date with developments in IT, ensuring all IT systems are fully operational and responding to student and staff IT queries. Other duties include designing, implementing and managing the network infrastructure and security and backup systems, manage the schools range of hardware, keeping inventory of hardware, maintain schools internet access, emails and filtering, keep the school website up to date, support the VLE systems as required and maintain users and provide training as necessary. Our independent school client is based near Hounslow. The senior school for boys aged 11-18 is partnered with a prep and pre-school for boys aged 3-11 and girls aged 3-7.
