Link: Firefly Reboot Coming To Disney+ [Giant Freakin Robot]

Hi, I'm in need of some advice. We have iPads at school that are given to staff, but they are becoming outdated, some are as old as 6-7 years. I would like to gradually replace these over the next few years as our budget will allow, but am unsure whether to stick with iPads or phase in a new type of device. Other considerations are that we currently have apple TV in a lot of our classrooms and use Firefly as our VLE for which there is a teacher app available for iOS, but not android. I would welcome any thoughts on this and any suggestions as to which devices might be good to investigate. Thanks.

Hi, We have deployed out Edge 83 to school computers, and SSO always works for Office 365 via the new Office tab page etc. We use Firefly as our VLE, with Office 365 set as the logon method. Sometimes the SSO works with FF, and sometimes it doesn't When it fails, it quickly cycles through a few pages and returns to the sign in page with the error 'details you have entered are incorrect, please try again' I think this is specific to certain computers. The only way around this at the moment is to use browse as guest. I contacted Firefly support, but they said its an Edge issue. Contacted Office 365 support and they said it was a Firefly issue. Any ideas how to diagnose\fix this issue, so Firefly always auto signs in on Edge?

Hi - we have Firefly as a VLE albeit in an environment that is totally MS with 365, Teams etc. What are the benefits of using someone like CloudDesignbox over just vanilla sharepoint? or would folks suggest other options?

Does any know if there are any free Plagirism checker software out there for Teachers? We have purchased Firefly but it doesn't come with a free Plagirism checker.

Those of you who have not yet seen Firefly 6 should look here for some screenshots from the 3 themes, Themes - Firefly Help There is a huge change coming to Navigation with all our Sections being rolled up under a single resources button to make room for other functions such as Markbook and Tasks. An extra two mouse clicks / taps are required to access anything. As a Head of ICT who has managed Firefly in my school for several years I feel this is a backward step and I think my users will be up in arms. I would prefer the menu to stay as it is , or to be more customisable like Wordpress. I believe we are losing some of the flexibility that brought us to Firefly in the first place. Please have a look at the screenshot and if you too are unhappy, contact Firefly asap as the final release is 5 months away and it may be possible to persuade them to make changes.

Requires experience working with MIS data management, ideally iSams. Vacancies | Chigwell School Salary will depend on experience.

Do other schools use this plugin? It allows parents to view and then change their contact details via Firefly. However, Firefly doesn't actually write back to SIMS (or any MIS as far as I know) and I suppose you wouldn't want unchecked data being written back anyway, so all it actually does is take the contents of the form and emails it to an address that has been configured in Firefly (i.e. the email address of the person in school who amends Contact details in SIMS). I'm not sure if sending this data (parent address, phone number and email address) via non-encrypted email is the best way to do this. In reality, parents send much more personal data via email all the time but at least they know they are doing it. Firefly with the green padlock and/or https in the address bar gives the impression that the data is being transmitted securely and of course it is, to Firefly, it's how Firefly gets the data to the school that concerns me. I did email Firefly and they said they had no plans to change this but offered to log it as a feature request. What do people, Firefly users or not, think about this? Am I right to be concerned?
