About nigel_ford

  1. Foldr. VERY VERY easy to set up in school - make shared folders accessible to specific groups or everyone, and apps available for Apple/Android
  2. Yes - for 4 or 5 years now. Taken a while to get going, and could do much more with it. very easy to create pages and assign permissions, downside is that page design options are limited.
  3. I'm afraid not. We never advertise salaries, it's not in the job description nor the TES Advert, and the lack of transparency is a bit of an issue with staff. We generally exceed national pay scales, if forced I'd have to say competitive according to experience and def upwards of £25K. I've added the best I can to the title
  4. Job Vacancies | Dulwich Preparatory School, Cranbrook A prep school of 500+ pupils, age 3-13, some Boarding. Great place to work!
  5. We did the same - switched from a custom Theme to Melody, which I do think looks more modern. This isn't about the theme as such, in terms of colours/fonts etc, it's about the whole navigation structure changing
  6. Those of you who have not yet seen Firefly 6 should look here for some screenshots from the 3 themes, Themes - Firefly Help There is a huge change coming to Navigation with all our Sections being rolled up under a single resources button to make room for other functions such as Markbook and Tasks. An extra two mouse clicks / taps are required to access anything. As a Head of ICT who has managed Firefly in my school for several years I feel this is a backward step and I think my users will be up in arms. I would prefer the menu to stay as it is , or to be more customisable like Wordpress. I believe we are losing some of the flexibility that brought us to Firefly in the first place. Please have a look at the screenshot and if you too are unhappy, contact Firefly asap as the final release is 5 months away and it may be possible to persuade them to make changes.
