I don't know if anyone works for an independent school here, but it's got to be worth a try. I'm feeling a bit restless and wondered what the big differences are between state and independent schools, from our perspective. Is the attitude different? What about budgets, pay and benefits, etc? Do you find technically that you do things differently at all? How about your link to the outside world, since you probably don't use a grid for learning? Anything welcome, I just can't make my mind up. Cheers.

Was thinking about setting up a group for us, so we can share information / issues specific to us independent, international schools. Interested to know, size of schools, usage of SIMS, do you have SLG, any issues you currently face with the software.... Vik

Hi, Im interested in seeing what SIMS usage is like in the independent sector. Specifically: - Do you use it - if not why not and what do you use? - Who uses it at your school (Just SMT or do all teachers have access)? - Does it suit your needs in the school (ie are there too many features or is it all being used appropriately) other questions may crop up depending on the responses! thanks brian
