You will also need to have excellent T-SQL skills and of course strong understanding of the MS technology stack including 365, Teams and SharePoint. You will be adept at Business and Systems analysis, and at least feel able to consult with 3rd party organisations. Experience in education is not essential but would be highly desirable.   3. Education experienced ICT technician required for this cover position in a secondary team in north Wolverhampton. Starting ideally mid August this temporary position will be for 3 months initially with the option potentially of extending into 2024. You will be working with another IT engineer supporting classroom support and chrome books, AV, Google workspace, windows server and desktops, laptops etc You will have at least strong 1st line skills and some 2nd line technical ability in some areas like, windows server 16 and above, virtualised environment, windows 10 and 11, DNS, DHCP, networking technologies and excellent customer facing experience. Senior IT Technician/Manager – Central Worcester – up to £29.5K FTE (.96) - pay award pending This is a great opportunity where you will: Become an integral part of a community specialist primary school providing a nurturing and stable environment so children can learn and grow at their own diverse pace. You will work closely with the business manager and an external IT provider (5 days remote, 1 day onsite), to provide day to day support of IT for @ 250 students and 160 staff. Develop or hone your skills in strategic development, cyber security, policies and procedures etc But most of all be part of a key team and IT service. Based on site in the Reading area of Berkshire, you and your team will be responsible for ensuring a consistent ICT support service is delivered throughout the school. A Senior Engineer and account manager visit regularly. You will take the lead in delivering the ICT service throughout the school including both technical support and line management of IT staff, maintaining specialist equipment, repairs and upgrades, prioritising staff workloads, as well as advising and training junior staff. Responsiblities: • Strong 2nd Line support including management of active network components including switches, routers and firewalls. • Line management of ICT staff. • Maintain Internet filtering systems. • Manage remote access to the school’s intranet. • Design and implement procedures on receiving and testing ICT equipment. • Design and implement procedures on asset disposal. • Maintain and regularly review whole-school system contingency plans. • Design and implement the school's backup and virus protection policies • Assist in planning for major developments of ICT services. It is a Term Time only role so the salary is pro rata'd, up to £25800 but it is also Hybrid so only 2 days in these offices (Either Dorking, Milton Keynes OR Hammersmith), rest from home!
