Network Manager / Snr ICT Technician (Enhanced CRB) - London
Will_Townsend replied to djm968's topic in Educational IT Jobs
i think given the CRB is in effect obsolute the day after it is cleared the ISA check which is updated as soon as any child protection issues are flagged up will give schools a better sense of security than the current method is what I am trying to get at with that statement -
Network Manager / Snr ICT Technician (Enhanced CRB) - London
Will_Townsend replied to djm968's topic in Educational IT Jobs
technically they are only as good as the day they are released by the police but its all about managing risk until the new ISA registration numbers come out (what should have been done originally) This employer will accept CRB's as long as they are enhanced and under 3 years old. The agency is in effect the employer and it will be on their heads to do further risk assessments and hopefully another CRB check but in the interim the employer would allow the agency staff to start work at the school there are some councils who will not have any engineers on site unless the council has processed the CRB in effect restricting emplyment to a waiting time of possibly 4-8 weeks or someone who has worked through the council before on one of their CRB's -

You must be able to start immediately and quickly familiarise yourself with a functioning Vanilla Windows Network with AD and XP desktops and a variety of typical schools equipment, a Linux system hosting the VLE and also SIMS. Managing two engineers you will have strong management skills and be able to motivate and delegate. BSF ICT Project Manager - Initial 6 month Contract
Will_Townsend replied to Will_Townsend's topic in Educational IT Jobs
no takers so far -
Me again, I need for one of my Major BSF clients a technician who is willing to work on a field basis around its school clients in East and North London area's. Ideally I need someone who can start on the 30th March and work for a year on contract full time (@£120 a day). Failing that i'd be interested (as always) in talking to anyone who can provide temporary ICT engineer skills (on a continuing basis) in the same area's. Technology wise it is various to be honest, could be CC3, CC4 networks, sims, vanilla networks etc etc what is most important is being able to get to the bottom of technical issues quickly, excellent work ethics and communication skills CRB is a must, at least within the last 3 years to get started thereafter renewed checks will be done I am afraid the 1 year contract will be unsuitable for permanent people looking to move on however if you are looking to move on anyway give me a try and i'll try to line up at least 1-3 months worth of work which is almost 99% likely to extend (or I'll find work for you elsewhere) I am always short good engineers so there's always contract work out there If you recommend someone I didn't already know I later place for more than 3 months I will pay £200 commission email [email protected] or call 0845 686 0690 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting**************0845 686 0690******end_of_the_skype_highlighting or view Education Support Professionals

Field Based Primary Engineer - Islington/Barnet
Will_Townsend replied to Will_Townsend's topic in Educational IT Jobs
although i think he pays for travel from school to school he wouldn't pay for transport from there, unless you are able to do a short term contract whilst he looks for a more perm guy money wise normal salaries for this role are around £20-23K dependent on experience probably 80-100 per day for temp does that help? -

Will Townsend is back with his own company
Will_Townsend replied to Dos_Box's topic in Educational IT Jobs
I have, in the past, been mostly southern for pure IT roles although thats not that I would turn the work down, its just harder to develop a customer and candidate base when you aren't on patch. I have been truly UK wide when it comes to mis support people. Being a small new company i'd welcome anything:D -
