Next week I will be posting a full time, permanent Assistant Network Manager job to start ASAP in Cornwall. The role will be within a team 5 in an IT specialist school with very close proximity to Plymouth, Devon. This year we're transitioning away from RM CC4 to a vanilla 2012 SCCM network. The school has a lot of equipment for example: blade servers running hyper-v, SANs, Apple servers and a whole site managed Cisco wireless network. There's plenty to do and it's certainly not going to be a boring/static role! I'll add more information to this post next week. Many thanks, David

Hi All, I managed to get two full flights done at this beautiful location (the full flight shown was my second flight), the air was very calm inside the ruins but unpredictable near the windows and walls. I had so much fun flying through the windows but some had to be left alone due to plants and ivy. Normally I stand while flying FPV, Sitting down makes me rock all over the place as you can see in the video, during calm moments in the flying I have to reset my body position. No props were harmed in the making of this video The extra shots and time-lapse are taken using a Mobius (normal lens) and a GoPro Hero 3 Blk Edt. Best viewed full screen 1080p

Hi All, Here's the harsh cuts of some of the flights I did around the beautiful Cornish garden recently. Warning there is some close proximity flying to myself and spotter (not trying to feed the trolls here) that I suggest no one else do as it was very risky but we both accepted full responsibility for anything going wrong. These flights were done on private property with the permission of the land owners, no one had access during my flights. Setup: ZMR 1804 2400Kv motors 12Amp Afro ESC's Acro Naze32 FrSKY Taranis with X8R Fartshark Attitude SD's with vTx & vRx Skew Planar antenna (Gav's) RealFPV Spanky FPV frame Nano-Tech 1400mAh 3s Lipo RCTimer carbon 5x3 props Best viewed full screen 1080p

Hi All, Now that the evenings are starting to get lighter, me and a few friends had the first "after work" flight of the year. I have never been to these ruins of old Cornish mine buildings so decided to explore via FPV. I used some smaller and lighter Lipo batteries for more performance on some of the flights at the cost of less air time but increased fun factor. Best viewed full screen @1080p

Hi All, Such a beautiful day for a quick FPV flight around the ruins of a building sat next to the River Tamar. Some tight spots to fly though but I do like a challenge. Some extreme jello effect at the start but I think that was due to only having about 10% throttle and plummeting to the ground at almost free fall speeds on a knife edge angle. Hi All, This is a full uncut FPV flight I did around 'The Hurlers' stone circles near Liskeard, Cornwall. It was such a hot day that I found a nice shaded spot to stand while having fun around the stones. The wind was ideal that day, nice and consistent which lead to some nice close proximity flying. My spotter is one of the people I pan around within the circles. Best viewed full screen @720p

Hi All, Here is a quick edit of the footage from 4 different quads during the same race, you get to see what each pilot got to see. I have split the screen into four sections, one for each racer, who ever is in first place during the race will be in the top left of the screen, Second place is top right, Third is bottom left and finally last place is bottom right. The video has the audio source from all four quads mixed as well as the Start/Finish line camera audio which allows you to hear our banter while we race. Hi All, I was lucky enough to be invited to fly FPV around my friends garden in Cornwall. The weather was terrible but I wasn't about to waste a day because of strong winds. Check out 3:40 in the video to see how strong the wind was, this kept my speed down but I will return when its sunny and still to capture it in its full glory. Best viewed full screen @720p

Hi all, Do any of my fellow South West (Cornwall) connections use Wildanet as their home ISP? They seem to have an incredible black friday deal on at the moment for 900mbps/400mbps for £27 a month, router included. Just not sure what they are like.

Hi All, Here is a few FPV flight I got to do after work one day. CamSump and I ventured off to Cotehele in Calstock, Cornwall. Its a beautiful house and grounds but we did not pay to enter the grounds as it was about to close as we arrived. It was very wind on this day which made me nervous flying too close to the water and made the quad shake in the gusts, so when I was presented with the open field with playground then it was game on for some speed instead. I had not changed the angle of the camera before the flight which is why most of the footage was unusable because when I accelerate all you can see is the ground. Best viewed full screen @1080p

Hi All, What a wicked day's FPV. This flight was taken on the day that my Quadcopter ended up at the bottom of a 11ft deep dirty river for 24 hours. It was a great day and so many great spots to fly FPV, here is the highlights of part of the day. I had two spotters with me on this day as the woods were a criss-cross of paths so I had two pairs of eyes looking for the public. Any close proximity to any members of the team including me were well planned before hand and each person understood the risks and consequences involved. Best viewed full screen @1080p Check out some of my other flights on this map: JAB1a FPV flight map
