Our independent school client is based near Hounslow. The senior school for boys aged 11-18 is partnered with a prep and pre-school for boys aged 3-11 and girls aged 3-7. The school is highly ranked in the independence schools tables for GCSE results in 2016. Along with the school’s academic excellence it also offers a range of extracurricular activities that take advantage of their excellent facilities such as a state of the art 3G all weather football pitch. The school aims to get the best from its pupils academically whilst preparing them for their futures outside of school life. You will be responsible for the overall management of all IT systems, services, infrastructure and development projects insuring that the IT services are running at optimum levels. You will also be responsible for leading a team to help them plan and check that projects are clearly understood. This role requires at least five years’ experience of managing IT operations preferably in the education sector, providing input into IT vision and strategy, planning budget and resource allocation. You must have a good understanding of technology and experience in working with senior leaders, projects and IT service management. Tech Support Specialist / 2nd Line Field Engineer / IT Consultant – North East London Company with strong track record in providing education support services requires an experienced schools network support technician focussed on supporting new and existing clients, primarily in the North West of London but also anywhere within the M25 on a field basis. You will be responsible for supporting schools via site visits and remote helpdesk support, train on site staff with new tech systems, escalate tech issues to the management team, provide 1st to 3rd line support, assist with project management and installations, document and update knowledge. Our client, a charity with a preparatory and main school, requires an experienced IT Manager to manage the delivery of a high class ICT service and contribute to the strategic vision of information systems for years to come. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar educational environment (although not absolutely necessary), still able to technically lead, have strong people and operational management capability, representing the ICT service at all levels in the schools, able to action change to deliver results for all stakeholders, inspirational and used to managing a large IT budget. You would be joining a close-knit team dealing with clients on a daily basis over both telephone and email, making sure they take advantage of all that the software has to offer and resolving any questions and analysing any technical issues they may have.
