Here is a little template with our rough numbers: Student Numbers: 900 Staff Numbers: 85 IT Staff: 1 Servers: (virtual/physical) 10 Computers: (desktop/terminals) 350 Laptops: 30 We all of course have far more responsibilities than just this but seeing a ballpark figure of number of IT staff per student/staff would be interesting. It may even convince your SLT to get that extra tech that you have been asking for! (and I have been )

mole Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Well just for AV and IT in teaching spaces (not a school): 11 technicians for 239+ seminar/lecture theatres Which may not sound a lot but in one lecture theatre we've just asset tagged there was 160 different pieces of equipment that could potentially break. localzuk Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 6 schools 300 staff 1400 students Around 650 PCS/laptops Around 400 tablets 15 servers, 2 of which are a Hyper-v cluster, 2 of which are the storage for said cluster. 30 VMs on that. That'll be changing though, reducing it down. IT Staff - 2. Me, IT Manager, and a technician who roves between all the schools.
