The picture of the school isn't as tacky as I thought it might have been. It's a framed print of a mid-19th century watercolour depiction of the school from the front. 2 more boxes of choc have arrived as well as a trio of red wines.

This is my last day working in my school. I've got an official farewell from the Head later this morning (my manager is suggesting they might give me a framed pic of the school) and last week I was given an unexpected round of applause from my fellow support staff (prompted - not spontaneous but I take what I can get). We watched Absolutely Anything at the weekend. I didn't have high hopes for it as I hadn't even heard of it two weeks ago but it was quite enjoyable in the end but I can't imagine it won any awards. The other Mr Sagima criticised it for a lack of imagination on the unlimited wishes front (only the villain of the piece seemed to really get on board with doing it properly) but to be honest if they had done it "properly" it wouldn't have been as fun. I'd probably give it about 6/10 - the cast was wasted by the writing to some extent. It seemed very much like a film that was written for a bunch of teen actors for a teen audience and then suddenly promoted into being a proper movie with some hurried edits.

I'd still run the powershell command to turn it off even if it wasn't exposed in the gui. It does seem a strong possibility. --- Get-NetAdapterVmq then for all listed as true Set-NetAdapterVmq -Name "NIC Name" -Enabled $False --- There's probably a command line option to do the same. I believe VMQ should be off for 1Gig and under connections and on for 10Gb and over iirc (I don't know about 2.5Gb and 5Gb as I have never needed to look into it as I don't have switches or NICs that support those speeds)

I watched this with my housemate on DVD when it was released. After we got to the end we both looked at each other in bafflement and decided we needed to watch it again to figure out what happened. it remains only one of two films that I have watched multiple times in the same day (The other being Pulp Fiction) I've seen it a couple of times since and I think it really helps to have watched it before you watch it.

I've accidentally done that in that past as well. Most of our network is 1gig - so roughly 112-15meg/sec copying speed. That which isn't is 10gig but all of the 10gig machines are on the part that is still 1 gig and all of the 10gig network only serves 1gig machines.

Can you reach an ip on the outside (dns) Has your firewall block rule (normally the bottom one) somehow found itself above the outbound internet rule? Has your firewalls network adapter [internal] changed it's ip address (dhcp?) or faulted (set ip on different port)

Ours haven't broken any of them in the last year (independent school though so our kids might be considered better behaved - i have no reference for that though) We have a set of 12 without cases so I thought with a case that might be enough for you. The cameras aren't up to phone levels of quality but the battery life is excellent and it seems a decent enough camera for a tablet but it doesn't have a flash so it needs another source of illumination which might mean it's not suitable for you ours are mostly used for app creation/testing rather than photographing/videoing things but the fact none have even got a crack after a year of uncased use and they are very responsive I thought it might be worth you adding them to your list of tablets to compare reviews of

On the DC you installed it on or from another computer? I mean do you get the permission thing using the unc path from your computer or the c:\windows\sysvol etc. path on the dc (or both) I don;t think I get a permission warning anywhere in that folder

Substitute domain for your domain eg. You can use \\bgfa.internal\sysvol\bgfa.internal\policies if you prefer - it should take you to the same place.

Can't fault the acting (or direction) but the premise and writing is just awful - if it hadn't had those actors in we'd have turned it off after 30 minutes but they are all good actors they should have been able to make it better than it was. Please don't make the same mistake we did! Your time would be better served watching 2 hours of trailers on youtube.

I'm not sure if it will on its own but disabling/re-enablng the network port on the switch it is attached to might encourage that behaviour

If the batteries are all the same age I'd be inclined to change them all at once rather than running old and new batteries in the same unit. I have three of those UPSs but I can't see individual battery statuses in any of the web pages so you may be down to testing them yourselves.
