Cold Storage (Sky Movies) A part of Skylab brought a deadly substance back with it, so the US buried it in a storage facility. One that in the present day has a commercial unit above it and the decades and climate change have degraded the integrity of the original storage... Quite a fun horror with some comedic moments. Most of the cast apart from Steve from "Stranger Things" are from this side of the pond.

I'm sure I read that they've already released a couple of patches for things.

Last time I tried PMPC I wasn't impressed though maybe I should give it another go as it looks more polished now. I think when I tried it it wasn't finding as many updates as UCheck, which is my "final check" tool. I can't remember what I used before UCheck but it worked really well until I was forced to swap because the dev just suddenly shut up shop. I suspect that they were made an offer to fold the project into a commercial project.

Never asked as each school is it's own entity (I have 3 contracts) and the one with the highest Windows machine count is barely above 100.

I've deployed it at all 3 of my schools and I find it really useful. When it's first set up there may be some kickback as it finds a lot of stuff to update.

Aap Jaisa Koi (Netflix) As we missed "World Bollywood Day" on Thursday (didn't know it was happening) we watched this at the weekend. It's a romcom about a 42 year old virgin who gets an arranged date with a pretty 32 year old who somehow fancies him. They have a lot in common but he's pretty old fashioned while she is more modern - her last relationship ended when her boyfriend discovered she wasn't a virgin! Not as polished as the Indian films we normally watch and fairly dull. Probably quite feminist for an Indian movie, though. We should have gone with our first choice, Blast, which probably would have been more fun but wanted something that promised more song and dance. AJK didn't even scratch that itch - the musical numbers were dream sequences or "Miami Vice" style worked into scenes for the main part and quite insipid.

Cr@p Happens (Netflix) As you can gather from the title, trailer has rude words (in German but in the ENG subs too). Unsuccessful in life, love and his would-be rap career, Toni returns to his home town of Kacken when his mother dies. He finds he has a son, but can he look after a child when he is offered a record contract? Deeply odd German comedy. We're 3 episodes in and beginning to quite enjoy it.

Stuck my PS4 Witcher 3 disc in yesterday and upgraded it to the PS5 remaster for free. Don't know when I'll get to play it as I'm still in the Forbidden West with Aloy and also have the Burning Shores. After that I think I'll need a break from that sort of game. Plus I noted I'd spent 355 hours with Geralt. Though maybe a replay might mean I didn't play it like the first game and lose the love of both Triss and Yen.

The Love Hypothesis (Prime) A student begins fake dating a professor to help her BFF's romantic chances. Guess what happens? As you can tell from the synopsis, realism is not something this film concerns itself with. It is, however, a cut above average with some genuinely funny scenes.

Finished S4 of Reacher, which was an improvement from S3. Started the spinoff, Neagley, which had a good first 2 eps but it seemed obvious what was going on from the first ep. I'm wondering how they can string out the "mystery" for the rest of the season. Guess that never stopped 24. Finished K-Drama Tomorrow. The ep with the war vet mentioned previously was definitely the high point, though the one about "comfort women" was pretty good, and the one where the "case of the week" was a suicidal dog was... interesting. Like most K-Dramas, this was one-and-done so had a proper ending but I'd have preferred better closure for the lead lady and her love from centuries ago.

Alpha (Netflix) A baby is brought up to be a super soldier but finds out that her "father" has a hidden side. I was a bit tired when I saw this but sadly, as it seems to be the last YRF Spy Movie for a while, the movie wasn't as fun as some of the earlier entries. Not sure how they plan on continuing (there is an "Avengers" bit at the end) as one of the other characters is Pakistani and this film sets up that country as India's nemesis.
