  1. Yes, definitely agree. This is the stuff that I think AI is really good for. The fact that you can tailor it exactly to your specific needs is what makes it good. So far I've made bespoke: Minibus booking system Performance Management Review System Intranet Landing Page, links, news, notices, etc.. I'm using VS-Code pointing at my IIS server, with the Codex plugin. Yes, it gets through credits building the stuff, but once it is done the system you have built has no ongoing licence costs. I'm not exposing school data directly to the AI. All the data I use flows from Bromcom into Sharepoint Lists, and all the systems are authenticated using 365 SSO. This means you can easily do permissions, such as 'the admin team can add notices to the front page'. The Performance Management System using SQL-Express as the backend as that is a bit more complex and has to deal with things like data retention. Now working on a full IT Management System, but that is taking longer. Plan to try to link directly to the Bromcom API. A few screenshots attached. Would like to see screenshots of what others have made.
  2. Weirdly for us, although almost nothing worked, Google search continued to work. Perhaps the reason for failovers not triggering is because it was never completely down. Our Smoothwall reported the internet connection as UP throughout.
  3. Yes, no problems for us either other than a few slightly slow reports but that seems to be back up to speed now. Very smooth start to the year for our schools. Well done Bromcom!
  4. I'm not convinced that emailed scheduled reports are working properly for us. I've triggered a few manually this morning and just noticed that none of them have arrived. We use the built in SMTP. It could just be extremely slow.
  5. Is this still an ongoing issue for anyone? We've been getting complaints about our Surface Go 2 laptops for a while now. I finally got around to testing one today, and the internet speed is very poor. I've not tried disabling the cloud filter yet as it's all enforced by intune and it's tricky to disable it. Is there a known quick fix such as just updating Edge or Windows? Thanks.
  6. Thank you. I've made progress, and now getting an 'already registered' error instead. I'm in contact with support. Thank you.
  7. No didn't touch it. I have however, been making a lot of other security related changes recently so I'm worried I've broken something else at the same time! The server still has internet access. I'll keep trying.
  8. We are getting 'Error with Internet data returned' when trying to re-register. Is that the same error that others were getting before it was fixed?
  9. We moved from Meru to U7 Pros and some U7 Pro Maxes. We dropped from about 150 APs, to 90. Horrendous problems from September 2024 - December 2024, we were about to give up and replace the whole lot, but it turned out to be bad firmware. UniFi released an update and it's been completely stable since December 2024, and very few WiFi problems. I would just say to be cautious of brand new products, and read the comments on the forums about specific models before purchase, but in general we are now very happy with our UniFi stuff.
  10. Just to clarify, is Outlook for Windows the same as New Outlook? If I were to remove this would it prevent people switching to New Outlook? Or is something even more cut down than New Outlook?!
  11. Interesting. Unfortunately all our handsets are the T48S and the newest firmware is 66.86.0.180 so I think we are stuck with it. I tried a factory reset on the off-chance, but no change.
  12. Same problem, another year later! I'm guessing this one wil never be fixed.
  13. We currently use Bromcom for our MIS, ParentPay for online payments, and Civica, for the backend cashless system. Has anyone else made the move to remove ParentPay, and go Bromcom direct to Civica (or another backend). I was hoping someone who has done the process can tell me what happens with positive balances, and what happens with negative balances? I know I should just ask, but with so many services involved, I'm not sure who to ask! Thank you.
  14. I'm setting up MRBS just for booking some minibuses as Bromcom doesn't handle it in the way we want. The portal works nicely, but I'm struggling to configure SMTP. Has anyone got MRBS to send emails via 365 SMTP? If so, could I possibly see a copy of your config.inc.php file? Thank you.
