Not that new, we have needed to do this for the past few years. If you need to use those apps with primary age pupils, either get consent from their parents or create a policy that covers all third part software and get the parents to accept / sign that.

Create a script that deletes the printer connection and add its back and test on a single device. Perhaps also try deleting the current driver and using a newer one.

So the heads old printer is almost 10 years old and the one I found came out this summer, so that helps loads. anyone recommend anything else?

The heads current current colour desktop laser printer has gone pop. The printer that went pop was a Brother HL-L8260CDW https://store.brother.co.uk/devices/laser/hl/hll8260cdw I would get this, but I'm concerned that it must be old now, as I believe we purchased this years ago. I have also found the following. Brother HL-L8430CDW https://store.brother.co.uk/devices/laser/hl/hll8430cdw#specifications Does the fact that 8430 is a higher number than 8260 mean that printer is newer or better? Wonder why this has no price or reviews? I did find it on Misco, so it is being sold. I dont want something that is about to go EOL Any other recommendations or advice very welcome, as I only purchase these once every 5 years or so. Thanks for you time. I have started to get AMD laptops, although I have had issues updating the AMD chip Drivers from our Action1 deployment software, which is a bit of a pain.

One of my large primary schools has 1-2-1 Chromebooks and it works really well. The IT coordinator and business manger both really wanted it, which is the main difference from my other schools, where most of those teachers (including IT coordinators) have limited knowledge. The pupils scan bar codes on the class walls to log into the current activity and the teacher can show anyone's screen on the Smart TV. They no longer have a specific IT lesson, as they could be halfway through a geography lesson and the teachers can ask them to open their devices and research the topic.

I use Cubebackup to do an onsite copy of our Google data on an old server in the school. Its really cheap and I get to use old equipment that might have been dumped. Also Synology + does this for free I then use 2 off-site Synology NAS units, one of these is only turned on once every 6 weeks.

We use Mosyle and Apple school manager free version. The pupils don't sign in to them, they are in cart mode and the pupils do not need an Apple account. These are more for quick research or KS1 usage, as we have Chromebooks that the pupils do log into with their own accounts.

I have it at home on 3 kids computers, my PC and my wife's laptop. I also use A1 for the school.

We don't use any GPO settings with our GCPW systems. I always had issues trying to get it working with domain accounts. Worked perfectly when I removed the devices from the domain, although that was ages ago now and I know another school using domain devices without issue. Did you manage to workout your issue? At our site, when a user signs in to GCPW they are automatically signed in to Chrome, but they do still need to run through a few screens after opening Chrome for the first time.

They haven't changed the details on the proxy page, although that normally brings up a white page.
