So usually I set this and wait. Sometimes it starts straight away and other times not. It seems quite random, and frustrating when you want to get on with the job in-hand. I've tried some tips like reboots and syncs which seem to sometimes help with no guarantees. Just recently I think I've stumbled across an accidental tip, but it could be luck or just my environment. If I open services.msc, even on a non-admin account, it tends to start a reboot within a minute of opening it and the wipe process begins. It's worked now the last 4 times I've tried, although I've no idea why. So I'd be interested to know if this works for others too?

We've got a number of Xerox C405's in our service. Had Papercut hive since February time. Scanning seems intermittent for no obvious apparent reason. Oh just remembered, there is a device setting limit in the webadmin of the Xerox that we had to turn off. By default it was on. So that might explain it if you can't scan anything.

Anyone getting this at the moment? Googling around it seems like many people have had this issue at some point over the years and now all of a sudden we've had a growing spate of users getting it.

A guy just turned up at my door with a couple of rods, a tackle-box and some bait. Don’t worry, I’m not stupid, I just ignored it, just a fishing attempt!

[ms office - o365] Old version of Teams with Office 365
Zourous replied to mitchell1981's topic in Office Software
I’ve had something very similar with Office 365. When shared it shows up as Office 2016 license in the about section. When not shared it shows as 365 license and some of the apps have features that weren’t available before. We haven’t got to the bottom of it yet. -
What Classroom management next?

Yeah, went with netsupport on-prem in the end. Seems good but never have time to look at it properly. -

Anyone know any that are free, with no account needed, that work well or am I just dreaming?

If it’s the E70’s, then I think I know the answer, as it had me stumped for quite a while, some time back. Eventually I found in the manual that the max supported HDMI cable length is something like 3m, which is next to nothing. Not very Smart, but nor is the fact they put the up volume button below the down volume button. If you use some kind of HDMI repeater with the lengths you want to use, you should find it solves it.

We have an inset day recently. I got caught in a situation where staff starting in September were in (unbeknown) to me, and I had two SLT staff bearing down on me asking for access. The accounts were already automatically created but they needed assistance. At this point I pointed out GDPR policies and I just got an angry “they new access!!” fired back at me. Anyway I gave them the advice needed and they went off to sign them in. To cover myself I’m thinking of leaving a note of the above with the GDPR officer to only act upon if the brown stuff hits the fan.

I wasn’t sure if it needed a server? I saw some mention of a connectivity server. -
On AB v7 now that is due to be axed. New AB Cloud doesn’t perform quite fast enough. Our internet service probably doesn’t help, but we’re stuck on that for the moment. Tried Netsupport classroom cloud (which is fast) but some features are lacking. Looking for: On prem set-up with no server if possible. Just classroom controls really, but the more the better. Close student apps, lock screen, blocking apps and internet and a demo mode that can’t be closed. Options to shutdown and WOL is useful Reasonably priced, but not free. Does anything fit the bill?

I was doing something similar but it's not great uninstalling and reinstalling drivers all the time. I then broke it down into a batch file that helped a bit: ipconfig /release netsh wlan disconnect "SSID" netsh wlan connect "SSID" I'm guessing the IP address is getting stuck for whatever reason. Maybe it can help in your situation?
