  1. I started looking at this and ran it this issue too. You have to switch terminal sessions CTL + ALT + F2 Also if your using appliance version there are a couple of places I needed to change timezone to get my times correct.
  2. Using fat image WDS / MDT here, but thinking about trying to move to SCCM mainly to replace our management software solarwinds n-central but nervous about it. I'm also starting to looking into MDT Database to hold machine names and deployment options for as close to zero touch as I can get. Was watching some ignite sessions and now doubting move to SCCM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jULZkDUG6Rs&t=1933s
  3. planning to rollout enterprise x64 1607 this summer
  4. ahhh slot 1, used to run a celeron 266 overclocked to 400. Was cheap performance in the day. I remember that the celerons came without the slot 1 case so just wobbled around.
  5. Sorry to necro this thread, but discovered it while searching and ran into the same problem. Figured out (with info from bald_pig, thanks for that) that I had a imaging section in the deployment task sequence (think its created by default), which was trying todo sysprep after deployment. Removed it and everything worked as expected without errors.

  7. I was looking at this the other day briefly in between jobs I just added Volume Activation Services Role and downloaded and installed VMAT. I got stuck around the CSVLK key (host key) requirement as i'm not sure where to find it in the volume licensing site or if you have to request it from MS. I was also chatting to our friendly Region guy and he warned be about the minimum activation requirements, think its something like 5 servers or 20-25 windows 7 / 10 clients. Not sure if / what the minimum office activations are. The other option if you don't get KMS working is to embed the MAK into the office install (setup.exe /admin) i think allows creation of .mst you just add to addons? extras? updates? folder of the install source location.
  8. This reminds me of one of my teachers changed their background to starship enterprise because of a failing DLP chip.
  9. We use jamf here for our macs and I can highly recommend it. We did also manage ipads but since given that up due to cost vs Management (Teacher ipads). We are planning to go back to ipad management as we have just deployed 1 class of ipads with more class sets in the future. Internet access to files is something that I have just starting looking at after moving our JAMF Server from apple to Linux. There are some good videos from JNUC this year on youtube that are worth watching to get a better handle on JAMF.
  10. We use Jamf Pro / casper suite for our macs, but it can also manage ipads. We are starting to implement ipads in our elementary and are looking at expanding our management.

  12. I watched some interesting videos yesterday about speculation, there were a couple of really good points brought up. Add on controllers, nintendo had always had wacky controllers and the fact you can slide connect the controller might mean that you can get custom controllers for custom games i.e a trackball or jog dial, retro gamecube controllers etc. The second thing was VR ala samsung gear vr, slide joycons out and the switch into a headset and off you go, the biggest problem i see with that is the relative low res on the switch screen (rumoured to be 720p). But the whole bolt on plastic bit is right up nintendos alley. I hate the whole pre-order thing, it makes vendors lazy, look at what has happened to the game market with preordering, games released are getting shorter and relying on there prequals to build the brand for them, selling addons of stuff that should have made it into the game in the first place. It looks like hardware is following with the xbox / ps4 revisions. I'm going to try and hold out till the thing is out and there is some solid reviews / hands on look myself, but the temptation is far to great especially with a new Zelda and Mario game time at stake.
  13. I ran into the same issue with MDT & WDS, running lots of different machines so always having to find and update drivers. I moved to FOG which has some really nice functions and free. I also used clonezilla alot due to running on a 100mb network, which meant quicker to take HDD out and clone locally than deploy over network. https://fogproject.org/ Also been through the PXE boot issues, most of mine were due to IP Helpers not set on switches. I also went through a time where certain Architectures weren't detected correctly, but solved that by changing over to wdsnbp.com boot loader. I've changed job and were using WDS, but we have alot less different hardware so driver management isn't as bigger issue.

Porsche Pack #1 (of 3) for Assetto Corsa. They said first time that Porsches have been in a non EA Game in 12 years due to there exclusive licensing, but i'm sure turn 10 managed to get them in Forza 3 or 4 in some cross license deal, maybe that was 12 years ago.
  15. I've used some ncomputing multipoint cards and tiny thin clients (x-series), not sure how much hardware and licensing cost and they were only Ok, there were a few Microsoft RDP patches that broke it, some software didn't work very well for multiaccess. I'd maybe look at some other similar thin clients, more like ncomputings l-series, something that uses terminal services.
