Shortcuts in the redirection folder are there, but also local software that is being installed, is being shown too? Don't suppose anyone has had this before?

Offline MDT / Windows 10 / Tablet device - "Windows Boot Manager boot failed" after O/S install Hi all I have managed to get a MDT offline image to boot via a memory stick (memory stick plugged into a Startech USB RJ45 adapter) booting into MDT and network connectivity isn't the problem, it goes all through the MDT boot and install stage, reboots and then I get "Windows Boot Manager boot failed" - when I boot back into MDT via the memory stick, the first message I see is a in-progress deployment was found but is not in an expected state. I installed the O/S from the Windows 10 32 bit ISO bypassing MDT and it installs on the same tablet fine, so I presume it's something in MDT causing this boot problem - could be the way MDT formats and creates the new partitions, or a maybe a rogue restart somewhere in the task sequences? It's the first time using MDT so any advice would be greatly appreciated - MDT is working on our desktop machines fine Dan

Can't book anything in a certain column, but fine on other days

Thanks for getting back to me Nick, where are these settings? I've had a quick look in the Booking System section on setup.aspx and the web.config in the Booking System folder? Thanks a lot. Dan. -
[ipad] What is your iPad app deployment solution?
DB91 replied to DB91's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
Thank you both, so if the iPads are on iOS 9.3 or higher, the free edition of Meraki won't work in deploying apps? -
Right, one of the projects I have been assigned is getting a working solution to deploy apps and settings to iPads connected to the WIFI network, also managing iOS updates effectively, most iPad cabinets across the schools we manage have all different versions, and not a standard oneOnce set up correctly, this will be set up at all the schools under our support, as at the moment, deploying apps is just not working and we are most of time manually doing itI have set up Meraki at one of the schools, this is working great - I can deploy apps, set up profiles with certain restrictions, push out home screen URL shortcutsDo you use anything else instead of Meraki to do this? I'm also interested for those that use Meraki in what else do you use it for to do with iPads? To deploy iOS updates is the answer Apple Configurator? We have an iMac with this already installed, it was set up before I started, so my plan is to start from scratch with this project I'm hoping to get to BETT to discuss different solutions too, but I thought this would be a good start to get ideas and feedback fromAppreciate any responses!Dan

Server Error in '/HAP' Application. Security Exception
DB91 replied to KYS's topic in Home Access Plus+
Hi Nick How do I add IIS AppPool\HAP into the permission list for the 'Security' folder? I'm getting this error now, set up this morning and working fine Ignore: Sorted now! -
Ha, the block URL GPO has worked now, strange! Thanks for the replies guys. *c:/* seemed to work rather just c:/
-
Yes it's all restricted, they get the resource is disallowed in Windows Explorer The worst thing they can do is look at the contents, they can't download anything like .dll, .exe, .msi - that's all restricted via polices we already have in place in File Server Resource Manager - but ideally we want to hide this in Chrome too
-
Hi Dave, thanks for your reply - I have the ADMX templates for Chrome already, I've had a good look - I'm struggling to find the UNC setting?
-
Discovered students can access this in Chrome, The C drive is restricted in GP - they can't access it in Explorer whatsoever File Server Resource Manager policies restricts them saving pretty much anything except Office and Multimedia files, so they can't do anything except for look at all the folders - it's just indexes the C drive, but would like to hide this in Chrome if possible I've tried the "Block access to a list of URLs" GPO with "file:///c:/" and "c:/" but doesn't work Any ideas? Many thanks
-
Thanks, it worked.

Thanks - I will try that now, I wasn't sure if it was Smoothwall because we have a custom block page which it normally throws up
