  1. I've done this by packaging it as a win32 app and running a simple powershell script. $shortcut = "shortcut.url" $shortcutLocation = "C:\Users\Public\Desktop" xcopy $shortcut $shortcutLocation
  2. Lots of online services affected by this it seems. Happy Monday.
  3. Interested in more iinformation for exam.net. Does this go well with word processing?
  4. Is it setup as a shared device? Is there a config profile applied to the device using the shared multi-user profile? One of the options (Sleep time out) in these settings seems to over ride several other screen lock settings.
  5. Yep, had similar issue when i disabled TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on machines it broke Inventry. They are(?) still using obsolete TLS versions.
  6. They tried supplying us with a new unit with a CPU that was end of life. Their kit is anciant and costs a fortune to replace. We're going to be looking at Sign In app as a replacement.
  7. Great works. Feels very responsive. I can't seem to see the 'Theme' button though. Am I being blind?
  8. I had someone report something similar at the begining of the year over in our art centre. I couldn't replicate and I haven't heard anything since so assumed it just went away.
  9. Other: Fortigate
  10. The apprentice job posted a few days ago is paying almost this!
  11. We're a Google school but sometimes get sent .MSG files. In the past we've been able to open these in outlook but the new version of outlook forces users to sign into it but we don't have office 365. I've seen a few online tools available but don't trust uploading files to the net. Does anyone know of any program that can run locally to convert/open these files?
  12. I can't find a way to add .url or .lnk items to the task bar. One alternative is to create the shortcuts on the desktop.
  13. You paste your xml code into the start layout box in the settings catalog. Here is a screenshot: I've just tested UNC paths by creating a shortcut on my desktop and trying to drag it to my start bar. This doesn't seem to work so I think you need to remove these from your xml.
  14. Works for us and yours is very similar to ours. I vagueley remember there possibly being a change to the File explorer link in a recent update? Maybe see if changing your file explorer link to match this? We also deploy it via intunes Config Profile > Settings catalog > Start > Start Layout
