We recently setup a Data Collection Policy in Intune so we can see if our devices were Windows 11 Ready under Endpoint Analytics > Work from Anywhere > Windows. We had a lot of devices showing as needing a System Firmware Update so we carried these out over 24 Hours ago but they are still showing in Endpoint Analytics as requiring them. Does anyone happen to know how often these reports update and look for any changes? Had a look around Microsoft Documentation but can't seem to find any real answer.

Hi, When creating an attendance report I want to filter many aspects by the same date range.. is there a way to have the user only enter one date to cover them all, rather than the same date in multiple box's on run? Thanks for your time.

Hi Guys, Is there a simple way to get a list specific aspect results out of the general SIMS reporting mechanism, ultimately by the CLR? Ideally in a Student focussed report I would like to include the results for a number of specifically named aspects from the assessment manager. I can't find any obvious way to do this. I would like to be able to specify the aspect name at run time which would be supplied from a script elsewhere which I have done for other reports. I can't even find an obvious route to this via a new report based on a focus from the assessment manager list. I've tried looking at Resultset, Gradeset, Result and Aspect but as usual with SIMS it is completely unintuitive. Maybe I see this as a simple task in my head - get the results of specified aspects for all the students in a student focussed report - but apparently it is not. Can anyone at least point me in the direction of what documentation or walkthroughs or tips might be helpful? For example I couldn't find any way to produce the aspect name filter from this post 113407-how-would-you-do-sims-gurus from @LosOjos. Any thoughts gratefully received. Polski

In Focus -> Profiles -> Session Manager We currently have an active report running. I've realized the Reporting Period has been set from September until June. This has caused dropped subjects to appear on students reports. Will changing the reporting period have any affect on the data already entered into the report? (For example would changing the reporting period from September to June to May to June, delete/remove any data staff have already entered?)

Hi there, I am new to this forum and have recently started working on Moodle (2.2.1) as a part of client project. I have started Module Development. But since I am a newbie I know nothing about it. I am planning to create a module that displays Reports hierarchy wise. i.e. a Manager can view reports of his department, any section within his department, any area within his section and eventually any individual that area. Similarly staff below manager can accordingly view reports down their hierarchy. Now I don't know if such an hierarchy system already exists or not. If not how do I create this hierarchy so that I know every user's permissions is set and after having checked that I can display or let them view appropriate report data. Does capability play any role in this. How do I go about this feature or what would be the first good starting point for this plugin. Please do help since I am stuck with this for quite few days and unable to find any good documentation on online links to solve my problem. Any help is appreciated. Cheers.

Hi, Just wanted get some feedback with regards to SIMS capability (or lack of) for the support for a 4 Term Calendar year, and how that might it's operations, as it is usual geared towards a 3 Term System. In our case we operate on a Jan-Dec Academic Calendar and we were keen to know if we implemented it what issues we might face. In particular for timetabling and report. Please share your experiences and thoughts. Regards, Charles

Hi I did think I had seen this before in the dim and distant past, but my memory has failed me, so I'm asking for help. I have a simple report showing behaviour and achievement points, it works fine on my machine, I preview it, then run it to excel, and the figures are the same. My colleague runs it on a different machine and the figures on the preview are correct, but when they run it, the figures on the excel sheet are different, about a week out of date. I got them to change the output to Word and the figures are correct. Any ideas? Thank you

Hi all, I'm looking for some advice please on the best way to monitor user activity and run reports. I've inherited a tenant and a number of users are vulnerable children. The organization has asked me to provide as much information as possible with regards to their wellbeing. Things such as activity times, files/folders, communications, profanity... anything that will be an advantage in keeping them safe. Im curious as to what kind of reports and information I can extract from Azure and 365, what would you recommended I look into? Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hi, I hope someone can help, we have only just had Bromcom set up and we are trying to find our way around the system and the users in our office are having trouble running reports using the standard reports in the system. When they run the report - i.e. for Dinners they choose the Dinner Account balance report when they run the report it is blank, the preview shows the report template data but there is no data in the report, also when the report is exported to Excel , it is blank. There are no errors in regards to permissions or anything, this is the same for any report they try and run. Our joint academy secondary school can run reports and get the data they need. Our system is the Primary school Does anyone have any idea on what the problem could be?

We have recently had Netsweeper as part of our Broadband package, we formerly used Lightspeed. We seem to be hitting a brick wall with the reporting facilities. I would like to be able to display a report of the internet activity of a specific student over a specific period, say 1 week. Is this possible because I am beginning to wonder as I don't seem to be able to drill down to pupil usage in any of the reports. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks, Neville .

Hi I am trying to setup a commendation certificate in SIMS. Teachers enter commendations using the achievement section of SIMS and place a comment on the achievement. I am trying to get out a pre-printed certificate that shows date of achievement, the description that the teacher wrote for those awarded in a certain time frame. A pupil could 0 - 5 commendations in a weeks so it needs to be able to pickup multiple copies. Is anyone able to help as to what criteria I need to use for the report? I can sort the layout ok and it sort of works but breaks if there is a pupil who has more than one commendation. Any help welcomed! Thanks Stu.

Hi, I'm sure this is probably the case but I wonder if a Progresso reporting user could confirm for me: can you store and report on grade values of assessment results, so that, for example, teachers could give 5+, 4- etc on a marksheet but in a report you could count number of grades with values greater than 4? Thanks Ed
-
I'm looking to learn from other schools that are Progresso users at primary level. In particular, I'm keen to see how you track and report at EYFS, KS1 and KS2 stages and how that feeds through to reporting. We are an all through-school and we manage Secondary level well, produce PDF reports that we make available via the parental portal. We are looking at replicating something similar at primary level. Anyone able to help?

Hello, the Business Manager has come to me today asking me to look at different types of electronic accident / incident reporting systems so that they can notice trends & review. Does anyone have a system like this in place that they can suggest?

I'm planning to create a monthly report to share with the IT Director but now I'm struggling with providing them with information that they care about. I also have many sources of information that I want to include. So I wonder what fellow Experts are doing in this regard ? Capacity Management ? What does your management/executive team care about? Backup reports? Antivirus statistics? I want to give them information that's simple enough for them to see what we need to give attention to IT-wise. Please share what has worked for you here. Thanks

Hi all, I’m gathering peoples thoughts on the use of papercut, on one specific issue I have found recently. We are a school and have setup all departments with an 'account'. Users are either assigned to one shared 'account' or are allowed to choose from a list of accounts they are allowed to apply charges to. all print and copy jobs are charged to the relevant account enabling a scheduled report to run, emailing itself to our finance team with the relevant cost charges for each of our Departments (accounts). Additionally, webcashier is used to log special purchases such as reams of paper, laminating, binding, card etc. This has worked great until recently we have found an issue and papercut do not have a feature for this. Our reprographics lady accidently charged 100 reams of A3 coloured paper at a cost of £850 to a department instead of 100 single sheets of A3 coloured paper which would should have cost £1.70! We are all human and make mistakes. I happily went to assist and show here how to use the 'refund' option in webcashier > transaction history, to find there is no option. This is an option in the main papercut print / copy software yet not in the webcashier side of the program. I then went to webcashier > deposits and realised I can 'deposit' back to a user which shows in the logs but not to an 'account'. Whilst I have a work around, I feel it’s short sighted of papercut to not include this feature. I have been in contact with them and they say it’s not got enough requests to make the addition. They have said if i can provide evidence of others having the same issue or others are willing to contact papercut and raise the same feature request, then it will accelerate the option being developed, instead of being shelved. What are your thoughts? Have you had the same issue?

I can virtually hear the sighs rattling around Edugeek as some of you read that topic title... here's what I've just posted o'er on SupportNet - thought I'd throw the question out on here too. I'm a bit stuck trying to get some data out of Lesson Monitor. Can anyone suggest the best way, or better yet share a report via UserFiles that displays the following...? UPN > Name > RegGroup > YearGroup > PPIndicator > Autumn Att% > Spring Att% > Summer Att% I've tried various methods after realising the %Attendance (Current Year) field was accumulative with no option for date ranges. First step was via Discover - Percentage Session Attendance by Half Term. Problem? This shows 0 for every half-term. Not a clue why. I've done a transfer of data etc. Makes no difference. Tried as 3 different users on 3 different PCs, all produce the same data. Any other graph has content. This one, just flatline 0 for every bar. SO, I wrote that idea off for now (pending a support call to Capita to resolve it). A regular designed report doesn't allow for date ranges unless I use a filtered Attendance Marks SubReport, so that's what I did - added 3x Attendance Mark sub reports, each filtered to the term that I wanted the data for. That lays all the marks out vertically in rows rather than horizontally alongside the student and means a few days work to get it laid out as desired when we're talking about 2000 students... and my PC took 3 hours trying to compile such a report for Yr7-11 and then eventually just crashed. Then I discovered what I thought was the answer... the Student Analysis by Attendance Category Report. This gives us all we need, other than Pupil Premium. Problem? It (Stu Analysis report) lacks a unique identifier per pupil - no admissions number or UPN etc. This prevents us from having a separate worksheet with pupil premium and doing a vlookup once we've gotten everything into Excel. Thought we could concatenate Name and RegGroup fields to use that as a unique identifier to vlookup against, but SIMS is hugely inconsistent: In a designed report, if reg group contains an underscore, it retains it. In the Lesson Monitor Student Analysis report, the underscores are stripped out of the reggroup... unless that regGroup code begins with a number. Ultimately, to get the two sheets to a state where they have a matching unique identifier per student involves some horrendously convoluted nested excel formulae. This is all MASSIVELY infuriating and thus, after a wasted day of chain-smoking and swearing vociferously, I'm opening it up to you guys for suggestions!

Is there any advice or case studies of anyone using tools to build dashboards SLT, admin or finance for quick overviews? Tools can be cloud based or local server installation. The schools MIS system is iSAMS. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, Does anybody know how to tell the CommandReporter which database to connect to when there are multiple entries in the connect.ini? Tried prefixing the username with the database name as the error returned is along the lines of "login failed for [DB_NAME]_[uSERNAME]" but it seems it's not that simple. Any help will be appreciated (and thanked)! Josh

Hi All, Think this is a long shot but thought I would post anyway. I run assessment at a large sec. modern and currently produce a report (ring bound booklet) containing lists of specific pupils (pupils on target 5A*-C, pupils with <85% attendance, pupils arriving with KS2 L4 etc) along with headlines and various bits of analysis. I have an excel spreadsheet set up which has a tab for the raw data (targets and attainment) and these feed in to the analyses to give me the headlines etc. The arduous part comes in when printing the report. There are 20 focus groups in all, which we have to filter from the raw data to start with on whatever the criteria is, then hide out the columns we dont need, then rename the header to say the name of the group then print page by page. For 20 focus groups this takes about a day or so to produce the whole thing. This is far too long and I can't help thinking there must be a quicker way. Any feedback or input would be gratefully recieved. I've spent so long staring at it I've lost any sense of objectivity or idea!!! Charlotte

Hi all, Well this is where I normally end up when I come up blank.. I have a school who is running an interesting project and they are monitoring their student pretty tightly and feed back to parents on progress on a 3 week cycle. At present this is all done through a single excel workbook: the 1st sheet has all the data and the following 130 sheet represent each pupil and the data is pulled into place from sheet 1. these sheets are then printed off and sent home every 3 weeks. what the school idealy want to do is the have this data available online behind a secure login for each parent. i have banged my head against the wall a few times and cant think of an obvious way to do this... does anyone have any ideas or is this going to be a custom programmed solution? thanks andy

We have a reporting system and would appreciate any feedback. Includes all subject reports / assessment data (NVR etc) / exams / profiles and so on. It’s free to use with the sample data, has an SQL back end and secure remote access (teachers / staff can work from home or school). If you like what you see and want to trial there will be a nominal set-up fee so your data (pupils and form groups) can be added. All the spreadsheets and reports you’ll need can be generated from this central source. If you would like to take a look and in need of such a thing please contact alansimonbrownATSIGNyahoo.co.uk Alan
