DNS Hosting - Moving away from RM
dsmith8 replied to newpersn's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Yeah we did this recently email [email protected] with someone senior at the school emailed in and say you want them to change the IPS TAG we used Heart for .sch.uk domains so it was HEARTINTERNET. They can also provide a DNS Export. -
Anything but TeamSOS their Intune install process is a mess.

Hey everyone Just wondering if anyone has a AlphaInteractive Touch Driver laying around anywhere we have a board with the pen tools not working and gestures not being recognized but looks like their company is now gone. Am I all out of luck?

Morning all TYIA Over the summer we rolled out Windows 11 to our Touchscreens that have an On Board PC in the OPC slot. During testing etc this was not an issue. However for some of our 30+ screens this morning I'm getting reports that on the login screen when they tap the username box the On Screen Keyboard is not popping up as it used to making them unable to sign in. I've changed a reg key to set the automatically show setting but this seems to have not helped. Has anyone else seen this happen?

We are in the South West and use it for a small group of PRU's who have no on site storage and rely on CDM entirely.

If you're using GPO I believe you can Hide Specific SSID's Open the group policy console (Start > gpedit.msc > Enter) Go to: Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Wireless Network (IEEE 802.11) Policies Click on "Action" in the menu and then click on "Create A New Wireless Network Policy for Windows Vista and Later Releases" Give the policy a name and a description Go to the "Network Permissions" tab Click "Add" and enter in the SSID you want to block and make sure "Permission" is "Deny" Uncheck allow user to view denied networks Click "OK"

Was trying this out for a bit of fun but can't seem to get your script to run not sure if it's cause how the post formatted it. Seems to be gaps in $destination etc

We just had an install from Anderson Tiger. They installed Virtual DJ Pro on our Studio for us and Jazzler for Jingles etc

We use Sync Centre/Offline Files you can set this as a GPO or Intune Policy and point it to your redirected desktop share. Then as long as the user signs in on site before taking it home it should then keep a copy.

We recently setup a Data Collection Policy in Intune so we can see if our devices were Windows 11 Ready under Endpoint Analytics > Work from Anywhere > Windows. We had a lot of devices showing as needing a System Firmware Update so we carried these out over 24 Hours ago but they are still showing in Endpoint Analytics as requiring them. Does anyone happen to know how often these reports update and look for any changes? Had a look around Microsoft Documentation but can't seem to find any real answer.

Intune Share PC (and similar configurations), AD / Papercut on Prem
dsmith8 replied to psydii's topic in Cloud Services
We used PaperCut Print Deploy Client deployed to the PC's via inTune in then picks up their AD credentials and maps the printers to them. I think they also have a cloud client if you want them to print from home. How to deploy print queues using Microsoft Intune and Print Deploy | PaperCut Azure AD Connect also works well for SSO stuff -
Apple Announces The Apple Silicon M1: The end of x86?
dsmith8 replied to flyinghaggis's topic in Mac
I've just got a M1 Pro Macbook Pro 16GB 1TB Model and I love it the speakers are amazing some of the best I've heard on a laptop and the display is super vibrant. Also haven't had any compatibility issues and all apps I need are native so far so no complaints here. -
I was doing some testing with this yesterday I think you want to download and install NoMAD Login rather than that standard NoMAD from here Support | NoMAD Then I ran the following terminal which got me past a authentication error and made it so I don't have to type username@domain and just the username sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/menu.nomad.login.ad ADDomain YOURDOMAINGOESHERE.TLD (Change .TLD to .local or .internal or whatever you use, I believe you can also push this and other settings via MDM) Then it should work

For point 1 you probably want to look a custom URI setting to hide the settings pages (/Device/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/Settings/PageVisibilityList) then you can hide the personalisation page, you can also deploy a setting to prevent users changing the wallpaper I believe this is a device restriction - Hide settings pages in Windows 10 with Microsoft Intune | Peter Klapwijk - In The Cloud 24-7 (inthecloud247.com) 2 You can export the applocker policies from GPO and import them to intune.
