Hey I'm setting up a new smoothwall UTM and for the life of me I can't work out why I can't get outlook to connect to IMap.gmail.com I just get the error "The connection to the server failed". I'm assuming it something obvious but I can't seem to put my finger on it. Any help would be appreciated

thanks for the help guys. I just rebuilt it yesterday, there was another fairly similar template so I just cloned it and edited the new template to fit the needs. Seems to be working fine now. It seems like a little bit of an oversight not being able to back up stuff like this and a few other bits I've noticed in sims. I might put in a change request. If I do i'll post it up asking for votes lol

A member of staff has deleted an assessment template in sims.... Sorry it just up and vanished. Is there any way to recover these or it is gone for good and needs rebuilding Thanks

Hey our individual reports (in assessments) aren't showing some of the data, grades are showing but things like class teachers attendance etc aren't. The only change we've made is updating the logo image. Any ideas. EDIT: I can confirm the image in the header is the issue. I've just replaced it with the old one and it runs fine. The image has the same dimensions and is in the same place.

Hey I've been asked a question that I don't know the answer to and could use some help. We have a student joining us into year 8 that back in 2013 was rejected as a pre-admission for year 7. Now when adding this student as a new student SIMs picks up that they've been added before as a pre-admission but won't allow us to use her current record because it wants us to admit the student through the pre-admission focus but we can't do that. Whats the best practice in adding such a student. Should we ignore/delete the previous pre-admission record as they never attended our school or do we modify the existing record in some way so that it will allow us to add her in as a new starter (and if so how). Thanks

The PC in repro isn't even used that much tbh. I'm assuming they don't want to have to walk over to the repro room from there office. Were an 800 student school so not that big and apparently don't have a lot of cash so I don't understand it either just doing what I'm told. I'll just report back what they want doesn't exist. P.S. I could have sworn I've seen a desktop Konica with a staple unit and I've found a couple of desktop printer that staple automagically but only in the corner not how I need it, that probably what I'm remembering.

That's what they use at the moment but that means the user has to leave their office and go to reprographics and "hog" the PC in there while doing their booklets and the deputy head agrees she needs her own.

Hey, I've been asked to get a new printer that can create booklets when needed and I'm just looking for some recommendations. Requirements: Must be a desktop, Size doesn't matter too much but must be able to get on a desk Must have a finisher unit that can fold and staple A5 booklets from A4 paper (2 staples in spine) The usual network, duplex etc Doesn't need to have scan/copy functions but if you know a good one that does I don't mind.

Sorry Just to point our you can print a timetable for a student but they aren't showing up on lesson monitor etc

Morning I've just got in and been told none of the student timetables are showing after the registration period in lesson monitor or any other part of SIMs. Staff timetables all look fine. Can anyone help me fast I have till 9.50am as first period they are staying in form groups but would like to get this sorted asap. P.S. Our SIMs manager doesn't get here till 9.00am

Here's what ours is looking like atm, just tweeking it and trying to work out how to either get rid of the date or export it to a excel file without it returning to the original layout as we don't want the date at the top. EDIT: I've removed the students name and form for obvious reasons

yeah I've saved it and it's confirmed it been saved with the message at the bottom but doesn't seem to want to export to excel or html in the correct format.

Final question. anyone know how to save layout settings? I've got to report to how it "suppose" to look and want to export it to excel before printing, and want to save the layout so the manager can just select it and press print. Even after pressing save it's still exports like the default style Also anyway of getting rid of the date?
