An excellent opportunity for a Network Manager to take charge of the school’s IT Systems and be involved in new IT projects and supporting day-day to operations working alongside the IT Team. Provide monthly reporting to the Bursar on helpdesk performance and IT activities. ● Planning and implementing system security policies. ● The creation and maintenance of documentation of all IT / ICT systems and services, including maintenance contracts and warranties. ● Deliver technical training to the IT Technician on new and existing developments. ● Managing the Schools phone system. ● Management of a Senior IT Technician ● Working with the Bursar and stakeholders to appropriately specify new systems and services in line with teaching and learning requirements. As a Network Manager / IT Manager your Skills will include: - ● Developing, managing and supporting systems, services, networks and infrastructure. ● Providing IT / ICT services for a large number of users, such as filtered web access, data storage, email services, networked printing, backups, and various software packages. ● Current ICT best practice, standards, and statutory requirements. ● Virtual platforms including servers, storage and backups. ● Multiple versions of Windows Server. ● Active Directory and Group Policy management. ● Email platforms, both local and cloud based. ● Network services such as DHCP, DNS, LDAP, wireless, and VPN. ● Firewall and filtering. ● Windows and iOS systems management, software, services and deployment. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced & enthusiastic Network Engineer to join the IT team at Westminster School - one of the most prestigious Independent Schools in the country, neighbouring Westminster Abbey. The main responsibility of the role is to ensure the efficient & effective operation of the School’s IT facilities for teaching staff, support staff & pupils.
