  1. Can you get the Ipads into your location and create a new guest wireless network with a passcode, but needs to be something that will get on the internet without the certificate that you can quickly connect to. That should at least get the ipads on the internet so they can download the profile. if you then turn off the new wireless network they should then reconnect to the correct wifi and should have the certificate installed and should then work. Obviously, this depends on how many ipads you have etc.
  2. Check what is set here...
  3. You can use physical security keys, or Windows Hello (if possible) so doesn't have to be a phone.

  5. The devices should be driven by the requirements from the school. What do they want to achieve on these devices?
  6. You can add other Mac Minis as well to create a bigger system as well. We considered this at one of my sites to keep the link between two buildings free of unnecessary traffic. Set up content cache clients, peers or parents on Mac https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/mac-help/mchl9b56e1cf/mac
  7. As @tmoon-mint says you can check all the certificates are in date and working in Organisation>MDM.
  8. Prior to implementing the Mac Cache, there is a setting within our Meraki MDM to only allow Ipads to update apps and profiles outside of school hours. We used to have it set so the Ipads did all downloading from 0100-0500 every morning.
  9. Does this help for comparison. The first is from the VPP section in Meraki, Second is the App section.
  10. We haven't got the resources or systems to do a perfect job with these. We've added our cloud AV to the laptops, created a standard account and used the inbuilt filtering from the AV to restrict as much as possible.
  11. I have been watching this thread with interest. A few of my school have Inventry and it's outdated and always seems to cost a fortune to add anything. "Sign In App" seems amazingly good value and looks like it was actually made this century as well. I look after primary schools so the costs seem really low as well. What are the downsides? What am I missing out on that Inventry gives us?
  12. That is sad. I've read the book to my children 1000s of times. I suppose his story will live on forever and continue to bring joy to children around the world. Not a bad legacy is it.
  13. I think we just went to dell.co.uk and ordered one from there. It doesn't list the 3190 but it does work, also didn't need any additional drivers for this... "Contains built-in driver for convenient setup The Dell Adaptor – USB 3.0 to Ethernet contains a built-in driver for easy set-up, eliminating the need to install drivers from a CD or download them from another source. The adaptor saves you time by automatically prompting you to install the driver when you plug it in for the first time" https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/dell-adapter-usb-30-to-ethernet-pxe-boot/apd/470-abbt/networking
  14. Yep same here, work fine with the dell adapters.
  15. AP renewal costs are around £180 for another 5 years and depending on switch anywhere from £130-£250 for another 10 years.
  16. As far as I'm aware wifi 6 is backwards compatible with all current kit so should work quite happily. If you get new hardware that's wifi 6 compatible then it will all work quite happily with that as well. We were due to replace 4 APs at one school so have gone for the Wifi six version and are also upgrading the switch at the same point. They can run Multi-Gigabit so may bring some benefits to current clients as well. Over the next few years as we replace more APs everything is in place ready to go. These APs https://meraki.cisco.com/product/wi-fi/indoor-access-points/mr36/ This switch https://meraki.cisco.com/product/switches/stackable-access-switches/ms350-24x/
  17. When you open the meraki app on the device do you get everything showing as connected and working, has the Meraki app been given the correct permissions in privacy to be always allowing precise location?
  18. If it's the same as our DFE Dell then they are Lattitude 3190 with an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265. I've built one onto our system and it's been fine. Ours just picked up the drivers from our Windows Image.
  19. We're doing something similar. Where we had Dell devices we're trying to use these in school. The Geo books are going home to students that need something. The rest of our devices were Ipads so being used in schools.
  20. We've only ever purchased I3 for a laptop for students, should be fine as long as partnered with fast ssd and ideally 8gb ram. You could look at Chromebook or Intune managed laptops as a lower spec and price point as it sounds like the requirements are quite low.
  21. Can you just put the Ipad into DFU mode, that's what I normally do for wiping Ipads that can't be contacted etc. https://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-put-ipad-in-dfu-mode?r=US&IR=T
  22. So basically pay for someone to take them away...I've got a few they can have!
  23. We've had similar and found some of the users had signed up for Teams by themselves but using the school domain name.
  24. This is a good starting point. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointmigration/migrating-content-to-onedrive-for-business
  25. Wouldn't a fixed camera looking down on their work area work better?
