  1. Hi everyone, We are having a strange issue when issuing a task sequence re-image from config manager. The issue is it only affects two different models of computers. What happens is config manager tells the client to re-image it then issues a restart command, the PC does not restart if you turn it off and back on it just says windows failed to start, if you press enter it shows "windows setup" if you press enter again it just loops around. If you PXE boot it it will do the process fine. This only affects 2 models of computer we have, all the rest restart when they should and carry on with the process as expected. I don't think this is a driver problem as it doesn't get that far. Has anyone else seen anything similar?
  2. Just auth to an SSID. We use a local login for the unleashed controller.
  3. Hi Everyone, We are having issues with Ruckus AD authentication after upgrading our DCs to Windows Server 2025. The error we receive is admin invalid, I've had a look through various google search results and knowledge base articles and I can't find anything which says what this error actually means. Has anyone else encountered this? All admin details and AD details are exactly the same as before.
  4. Probably been asked a million times before but I'm going to ask again anyway. Do you allow YouTube everywhere for all users? at the moment we only allow it for sixth form and gcse media students but as we can only filter by user and not device it causes problems when they are outside of the lessons they need it for. I know I can enforce restricted mode by modifying the header but I'm just wondering what everyone else is doing.
  5. What do you do in your sports halls to provide information to students such as exam start time, finish time, extra time, centre number etc? we have been using a projector but it has become our job to make sure it is switched on and off and it is problematic because we often get called back several times during the day with a 5 minute workaround expected when there are issues with the projector, the laptop, the user, the software etc. I'm all for technology use but I think we are over reliant and making it over complicated. IMO you don't want any disruption in your exam spaces so as basic as possible should be the idea. This all came about when we found out many students couldn't read analogue clocks so to provide a digital clock we projected one and opted to display all the extra information too but we rely on it and don't have a plan b. It has been a problem now for years, I told them to go back to what they did before but they don't want to listen.
  6. Hi, Has anyone been able to successfully set a proxy on iOS devices for a particular wireless network that the user can't just turn off? I had hoped it would work the same way as device name does in that if a user changes it at the next sync it just puts it back. It doesn't seem to do this with proxy settings so if they turn it off it stays off. We use a proxy.pac file because we want to direct traffic through Secures first before going on to our normal web filter.
  7. All sorted now. Thank you!!
  8. Our issue has gone away now. We changed the autorecover location to a sub folder in their home folder instead of the root and it has stopped. It seems that this only happens with powerpoint autorecovers and not word or excel. The version of PP we have is: 2112 build 14729.20260 365 apps for enterprise.
  9. Is anyone using Ruckus Unleashed? we have just renewed our SSL certificate and I can't get it to accept the intermediate authority certificate, so users are getting certificate warnings when they try and login. I have followed their instructions but on the part where you can specify additional intermediate authorities when I select the certificate I have been sent it just says choose an intermediate certificate authority to import: we are using Sectigo.
  10. I've just stumbled across this and it is something we have changed recently. As exams are ongoing some users haven't been saving their work so I moved the autorecover from their profile to their home folder and based on this post it would seem that PowerPoint behaves differently with autorecovery than Excel and Word do.
  11. It does sound like exactly the same thing then. We have had no reports from support staff only teachers and the same it is about 10-15 of them. I have checked event logs, appdata modified times. Everything and I can't make it happen. The only thing that is consistent is it happens either at the start of the day or at the end.
  12. It is some staff, some of the time that is the strangest thing. We can go a day with nothing then two or three in one day. One staff member lost her files I restored them and she lost them again an hour later. Naturally during HT there was no change to their home folders.
  13. It does sound similar, we don't use google drive and offline files is disabled across the site and has been for years. If it is the same thing is there no fix currently?
  14. No its desktop users too. We also don't allow offline files as we disable the service using GPOs.
  15. We use OneDrive but there are no synchronization rules or permissions set up. It is weird as all of the folders are left intact but every file gets removed. Auditing shows it was the user and we have checked and no one else has logged in somewhere else as that user either remotely or locally. It seems quite random, some users can go a few days without issues.
