That would be my approach as well. If you have a spare SSD you can do some side by side comparison to build a case for the larger upgrade project.

We have lots of Sony cameras for general use, and each of my schools we have a Nikon D3100 or 3200 etc. These are entry level DSLR and I generally get them a 35mm or 50mm lens and a 55-300mm lens. The type of photography you want to do would narrow the choice down. Could the wrong Windows Mak code cause the issue?

I've used it with Ipads in my schools without an issue. No restrictions on GPO's to stop this happening? Everything in the same IP range, VLAN etc.

I think this is a new thing as we've had keys from dead agreements in machines for years with no issues...until now. I think it's the same for Office keys as well.

I've had this on at least 5% of machines at each site I manage. MS have invalidated all old MAK codes so only current ones work. Luckily I used the VAMT to replace all the machines that still showed as genuine but for others I've had to use two .bat files. All my sites only have one server but we rotate 10 RDX tapes using backup exec each week. We supplment that with cloud backup for main shares and users shares (3 times a day) and system state. For me it's ideal as I can restore files for staff when needed using the cloud solution (often working remotely) and in the event of a DR we have the RDX \ Cloud. The cloud backup only costs us a few hundred pounds a year. We also rely on six years olds to swap the back up tapes!!!

We've taken this to read anyone that uses a computer for under 200 hours a year doesn't need to be counted. I think this is the most recent document and it says... 6.1 Defining Institution’s Organization A school may choose not to include any departments or other defined user groups where the Qualified Desktops in that department or user group only utilise non-Microsoft software or where all utilised Microsoft software is fully licensed under an alternative licence agreement. The Eligible School must define such departments or user groups in their enrolment agreement. Where the school chooses not to enrol defined user groups, any faculty and staff in such user groups (who are not counted under the Enrolment) may still access Qualified Desktops and run the licensed software under the Enrolment to fulfil administrative or teaching obligations in other departments or where they act as temporary cover in such department. Where such Faculty and Staff’s use of Qualified Desktops is for teaching purposes, it must not exceed 200 hours per year. Non-teaching staff whose role requires only infrequent use of the Qualified Desktops would be permitted to access the Qualified Desktops and run the licensed software for the purpose of administration. Administration includes the use of the school management information system, the school virtual learning environment, the school email system and or the school intranet/internet access systems. 9 Infrequent use is defined as less than 20% of that person’s time requiring use of the technology on a shared device which is not assigned to them. Fundamentally nearly all of these platforms were never setup to protect anyone. They covered there own back sides with the "self policing" but that didn't work out to well. As the NSPCC said they've failed to self regulate themselves for the last ten years. The sheer volume of content makes this nearly an impossible task. You'd probably have to redesign all these platforms from the ground up to make them safe, but as they're fundametnally places for sharing contents and comments I'm not sure how that would work.

Knee jerk reaction from another massive platform that fails to protect its users from predatory behavior. They only really did anything when advertisers walked away, not when children were contacted etc.

I'd assume that as the firestick is passing 4k and atmos to the receiver that the audio would remain atmos but the image would auto downgrade to 1080p as it leaves the receiver, or possibly at the projector itself?

I've got sites hosted with both Capita and SCOMIS. From what I've seen the sites hosted with SCOMIS are a lot happier. They get there support direct from SCOMIS not Capita as well. Costs are pretty much identical.

Have you tried closing the apps with your finger on "ctrl" that sometimes works.
