I'm slowly doing that at all my sites. We went for 20cm or 30cm excel grey for workstations and 30cm colour coded for devices. Each device type has their own colour etc. The short cables make it really easy to visually see everything.

When I've spoken to Dell they've always said Vostro range is for home use etc and latitude is their business range. The latitude also get a longer driver life cycle etc. In the last few years we've been buying teachers reconditioned laptops.

Depends on the supplier of the hosted service. With Capita you need a PC in school that will run the 3rd party tools. Capita set this up for you as part of the migration. Unfortunately these days staff are being asked to do more and more and most teachers will spend a significant amount of time at home planning etc. Our job is to deliver a cost effective secure solution that facilitates that.

From memory if you delete photos from an ipad they go into a recently deleted folder and then gradually delete after 30 days.

Ricoh support are pretty helpful. They normally send someone out who can create a custom driver to achieve something like this. Might be worth giving them a call first.

If you start fresh with DEP and a decent MDM a lot of the previous issues with managing Ipads will be gone. These days it's a pretty painless experience compared to torturing yourself with Apple Configurator and USB hubs etc. My schools use Ipads for Imovies, Garage Band loads of different apps to support the curriculum. Teachers use them with assesment app and we're looking at the SIMS app as well. We've retired class cameras as people just use the Ipads and transfer photos and videos over wireless using file explorer app. We're looking at using google accounts so photos automatically transfer. As long as the whole school is behind the project and SLT want this to happen then they can work in schools.
