  1. Hi, Just looking for a bit more advice, just wondering what restrictions other schools have on Student school email accounts? such as a whitelist for emailing etc...? We currently dont have anything in place here and the account is open for them to use similar to a personal account. At my old school we blacklisted students emailing in and out other than a while list. This was setup from years prior to me starting there and worked well for the security side of things. Would be great to see what other schools do. Regards
  2. Hi, Just wondering, should we be stopping staff saving passwords in the browser? I know you can disable this in Group Policy. It seems an obvious one to disable for me but wondering what others do? Regards
  3. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has done any Tech AI courses recently? and could recommend one? Im looking in to broadening my knowledge of AI. My background is Schools IT Techy\Manager for the last 20 years. Thanks
  4. Hi, We have a number of these in school and just wondering if someone with experience of supporting these can answer a few queries we have with them. (Sorry, I've not had anything to do with these in all the time I've been at the school but now been asked to support them) Our original batch were ordered a number of years ago, can we just add new ones to this batch and they will work on the same frequency? Do we need any type of license to use these in school? any recommendations for a good place to purchase more of these? Thanks in advance
  5. So I think ClearPass will be out of our Budget. What's the next best alternative, third party products that integrate nicely with Aruba?. We`re using AP-515 with one acting as a controller. Thanks
  6. First time running one of these for a while, its all changed in 365 since i did the last one, just looking for advice on how to do this ocrrectly.... I go to : Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Search Create a case Data source – "All people and groups" + "All public folders" add the email address for the SARS request Under “Cases” > Statistics > Total Matches - is this the result of any communication for this email address? We would then use the "Export" to pull off the results What's the best procedure for searching student name? search as "Joe Bloggs" or "Joe+Bloggs" ? Thanks in advance
  7. So if you want to stop one of these policies being applied how would you do it? remove the Devices from the Group assignment? I only ask as ive doen this and its still showing got specific PCs even though I removed it 2 days ago?!
  8. Thanks. Does it reflect somewhere when the policy hass been applied? I was assuming that it was in the Device Configuration page? but some of the policies that dont have any devices assigned to them are in there?
  9. How do you stop a device from picking up a Intune Policy? Just starting to use Intune in anger in our school after a while... Mistakenly, I've applied a policy to all devices and caused a little panic yesterday! , I've unapplied this policy by removing the assignment to these PCs. I then check a device and in Device configuration these policies that I've disabled are in there, should they be? when they aren't assigned to this device anymore? It seems that the Policy is listed for each user that logs in to this machine. Thanks in advance
  10. What do people do with out of support Laptops, with regards to having them on your network? We have a bunch of the Dfe HP 255\245\250 Laptops that HP don't support our current version of Windows 11 (25H2) Were currently having problems with the Wifi networks not showing upon login to the device. Thanks
  11. How much is it?
  12. Just wondering if you can allow access to SSIDs based on IOS and Android version in Aruba Central?
  13. Thanks all. That's enough for me to start the process of getting rid of these off my Network! I wonder if you can block access to out of support OS devices in Aruba?... I will start another thread for that one!
  14. We have a number of Ipads and other tablet devices which are OLD and out of OS support, if it was up to me I would remove them from the network when this support ended but staff don't see it this way (or care) How do you manage these? - Out of support - Off my network! or carry on using them?
  15. Thanks for your help everyone, a Reboot of the DCs seems to have fixed it. Still a bit a miss as to why it happened, Dcs hadn't rebooted (uptime was 30 or 40 hours). A service must have stopped somewhere maybe?!.
