Does anyone know how much it’s cost per year to licence an Aruba switch or Aruba AP in Aruba central? It may the fact that for our schools, it just won’t be sustainable as it will be to expensive

We have some schools that have just joined our trust that have had new Aruba CX switches and Aruba APs installed just before joining and they also use Aruba central to manage the devices. Our other 3 schools use Unifi switches and APs so I’m torn weather to go down either some Unifi or Aruba route so I want to know what others would do, either ditch Unifi and for Aruba or ditch Aruba and go Unifi? The schools are primary schools and as I’ve not used Aruba with Aruba Central before, I don’t know if this solution is overkill and more expensive? Would love to hear peoples thoughts

Due to our department being very short staff, we need an eternal company to come in, and start build up and asset inventory/ audit of equipment at all our sites and asset tag equipment that needs tagging. Does anyone know of companies that will come in and do it? Not just related to IT but facilities also. Thanks

I’m in the process of setting up Intune and getting devices on Autopilot but when users login, They get just a white screen. I can press Ctrl Alt and del, and log out/restart and as soon as as they log in again, the white screen appears. The computer also doesn’t appear to have enrolled. Has anyone had this issue before?

We have all our school phones with O2 and they are not getting the OTP sms from Halifax when they pay for items online. Even when they choose the call back option, it doesn’t do that either. It happens on all three O2 mobiles but as soon as get Halifax to change the number on one of the charge cards to a Vodafone mobile number, the Vodafone mobile gets the OTP sms fine. Halifax are blaming O2 and O2 are blaming Halifax so I wondered if anyone has come across this before?

Should windows clients and iOS client report the correct internal IP addresses in Lightspeed Filter? Our LS filter reports the internal IP address for windows clients as 169.254.108.x and doesn't even report the Internal IP address for IOS clients. It does report on the serial number of the device for Windows clients but nothing for iPads so should it report all details correctly? The report i go to is Reports - Web Activity Log

Oh great! So would i have to sync users to our Meraki and Intune MDMs, then assign and owner to the devices, even if we created generic accounts specifically for iPads? I can still filter the devices okay, it just comes up with "unknown" for the user in Lightspeed.

We have been trying to setup lightspeed filter for the past two weeks and support is not great if im honest. The live chat is hardly ever available and when i log a case they take a very long time in getting back. Its like they aren't bothered in trying to help setup the solution once its been purchased. All out ipads work as a shared device so not 1:1 and wont be assigned to users as we are SEN.

So how does the device authenticate with a username? I have put the $EMAIL variable in but as iPads dont have logins, theres nothing it can authenticate against.

Awesome thanks. I just need to find out what the Meraki variables are now. Do you get users to log into your ipads or do you have an account for each iPad setup?

Im just setting up and testing lightspeed filter on an ipad and in the process of configuring the MDM setting to push to the push. Can i push the same settings to all devices or do i have to configure different settings for each devices? I noticed from the Lightspeed instructions that it asks for the UDID so is that for the iPad itself? Also for the username, would that be for the user that that has the device? Maybe there is a better way to get them working and filtering that im not aware of like a portal that users log into on the iOS device?

I too wanted to change the name of our school name in ASM and come across this thread so thanks for the heads up everyone. I did contact apple to see if it can be done and im still waiting for a response but reading this i will probably just leave it.

Can Intune/endpoint manager handle multiple Apple School manager DEP/ VPP accounts? We are a MAT with multiple schools in a single 365 tenant but each still has their own Apple school manager. Thanks
