If you're currently on a /23 (mask 255.255.254.0) and move to a /16 (which is what you'd get with a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0) that contains that original /23 then things will just work providing the default gateway is updated if necessary (it almost certainly will be necessary as they'd probably put the gateway at the start of the range). You'd then be able to use 10.163.0.0 - 10.163.255.255, and the gateway would probably end up being 10.163.0.1. EDIT: @Sephiroth, use the CIDR version at Online IP CIDR / VLSM Supernet Calculator, nobody's used classful routing in about twenty five years

You've got the right mindset there I think. Certs are nice, but demonstrable knowledge is the way to go. (Ssssh - don't tell anyone, but I've been in IT for oooh.... 10 years now, not one formal qualification in it beyond an A-Level in Computer Science. )

Work keys consist of: master key, access control fob, building alarm fob, multi-tool, and then some small keys (distribution boards, powered doors, fire alarm panels, fire point reset key). And here I was thinking a new building with one type of key would avoid the "jailer's keys" setup...

Usually because of lower pay - as @localzuk says, as things change and trusts/groups can afford to pay more for centralised roles, so the skillsets should increase too. I would not consider it at all unreasonable to expect a Data Manager on a £35-40k salary to know T-SQL, SSRS, etc.

You speak as if cloud services are always the best option, and on-premise hosted alternatives are prima facie inferior. In my experience that has not always been the case - in some cases cloud alternatives end up costing a lot more.

I imagine the emoji is only a decoration and not actually part of the legal license plate - therefore "EMOJILOL " and "EMOJILOL " would be the same registration (and therefore you couldn't have both on different cars). If they are making emoji allowable for the legal registration... God help them.

I would still buy these (or the 4350s) today if I needed a reliable mono-only printer and couldn't/didn't want to get a managed contract. They just won't die.

I can't speak to PS Financials from a user's standpoint, but it seems a very fragile application from an ops standpoint. Lots of remoting in to apply custom patches and long involved setup sessions. It's not an "install and go" app, even to the level that SIMS & FMS is.
