I doubt they'd be able to do anything nefarious given that they called you (beyond the standard tricking people into paying). They could well say "call our team on 0900 PREMIUM-RATE" though, and less vigilant people may fall for it - then they'd make bank from premium rate charges.

I entirely agree. Sending late night emails is not a "cause for concern" in my opinion on its own. Expecting that people act on them after hours, or the moment they get in in the morning however is. I wouldn't want to work somewhere that actively banned after hours emailing, equally I wouldn't want somewhere that expected you to be always responsive.

All the more reason to dump SOLUS 3 and use PowerShell to deploy SIMS/FMS. Happy to supply my script if needed. SOLUS 3 is, and has always been, user-hostile rubbish for client deployment. Fine for updating and patching servers, but useless for clients.

They don't halve your speed, they just limit you to 100 Mbit/s - all eight strands are needed for Gigabit ethernet.

We (Oaklands School & Great Oaks College) are looking to hire an apprentice IT engineer. The successful applicant will follow Firebrand's L3 Infrastructure Technician apprenticeship, leading to a Level 3 qualification along with industry certifications including ITIL Foundation. We have a very modern network (Windows 10, Office 365, brand new everything) on our current site, and our Primary school will open in late 2019 on a site about a mile away after a renovation. There will be significant scope for independent/own-initiative working, particularly when the Primary school opens. The post-holder will be required to work across both sites, with some in-work travel required (no requirement to drive - only about a 10 min walk). Our main site is within a few minutes walk of Osterley tube station, and the H91 bus runs effectively right outside. The Primary site is within walking distance of Isleworth mainline station, and many buses (235, 237, E8, H22, H37; anything that stops at Hounslow Bus Station) run close by. Do you mean they're setting the home page to something inappropriate? Might want to add the sites they're using to your web filter to stop them being accessible at all.

Either way you'll have to redesign the reports, but at least if you connect the DB to Access you can use the system(s) you're familiar with.

You can add a SQL DB as a data source in Access can't you? Can you then just use the exact same Access reports but talk directly to the SQL DB?
