  1. Just logged into SIMS this morning and getting the Eligibility Check message again! Anybody else?? @SIMS_Customer_Support ???
  2. OK, I think I've managed to sort that bit out now, with the use of Report Open / Close tags around each page! Next query is - within the template, I've set the font style / size etc - but when this pulls over, it seems to ignore the template and use what it's picking up in Profiles. Is there any way to stop this happening - so the report is neat and consistent? Thanks Matt
  3. Hi, Do we have any SIMS Profiles experts in the mix? I'm trying to create a new template for student profiles / reports - I'm fairly new to this part of SIMS, although have been using SIMS for many many years and know my way around most of it! I have a Word (XML) document that I have put together, full report, title cover then 1 page per subject. In the Reporting Session setup I have selected under print options - "Ignore courses with no entries" - but when I go to view / edit a report it opens up in word and includes all the subjects as per the template, including the ones that a student does not sit. Can anyone point me into the right direction please? Thanks Matt
  4. Sorry to drag up an old thread - but having no issues in the past - we've started getting this exact same issue. Did you find a fix? I'm not 100% sure, but it could be just classes that have not yet been activated?
  5. Sorry to bring up an old thread, but thought it was best to pop it here than to start of a new thread with a similar issue... I have DirectAccess setup and working fine - but I have a particular client accessing direct access which will work, then a few day will just stop connecting - with the message showing as "Connecting" but it never connects - other clients offsite can still connect up fine. In order to "fix" the problem with this client - when it's back connected locally to our network - I run GPUpdate / force and restart the machine it's then able to work remotely again for a few more days - until it breaks again! - I'm not 100% sure what fixing it when I run gpupdate / force but it's annoying as obviously they can't access the network whilst away from site. I'd love to find the source of the problem and get it working all the time (or at least see if there's a way they can fix things whilst being away from the site) Yesterday I had the device with me whilst it was in a non-working state and ran the DirectAccess Troubleshooter tool - this is where I think the source of the problem is when it's not working, but I can't find any reference to this error anywhere online... The IPHTTPS interface is not operational, last error code is 0x3e3. The IPHTTPS interface status is failed to connect to the IPHTTPS server. Waiting to reconnect. After doing the gpupdate / force and restart I then get: The IPHTTPS interface is operational. The IPHTTPS interface status is IPHTTPS interface active. And Direct Access connects fine. (For at least a few days anyway!) Any help / pointers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Matt
  6. Hi Guys, Does anybody have 2 x Clevertouch 75" Gen 2's kicking around in stock in a warehouse somewhere... over the last 18 months we have replaced almost all our projectors in the school and have got 2 classrooms left to do (they weren't being done, but a higher intake for September means we now need to convert these into teaching rooms) - I've been told on Friday that this is now end of life and there is no stock in the central warehouse, the replacement device looks completely different with different coloured bezels and I'm told will not be in stock until back end of summer / September. Has anybody got 2 of these in their own warehouses that we could look at purchasing to keep our setup consistent and complete!! Fingers Crossed!! Matt
  7. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to make a difference... I've since found this - so I'm guessing this is why, but don't understand why they've made the change and why it allows you to drag out the start menu manually when creating the layout. - The version we have it working on is pre- 1903 as referenced in the article! https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/customize/desktop/customize-start-layout#customizing-the-oem-group
  8. Hi, Does anybody know what might be causing this annoying little issue...I'm updating our image files and installed Windows 10 21H2 along with some new software, I've created a new start screen layout and I've exported to XML using the export-startlayout command. I've setup a group policy to apply the start menu users which is fine, but when the menu is applied its presented in a different style to how it was exported and I'm not sure why. I've previously done this on an older build using the same width start menu and it's worked fine. Here's what I want it to look like... Here's how it applies... I've tried exporting the XML in different formats - using the orignal syntax and the newer -UseDesktopApplicationID switch but it makes no difference. Here's the XML file using the -UseDesktopApplicationID switch I think the important bits for the width from the XML are this... but I believe this is correct for the layout I'm trying to achieve... LayoutOptions StartTileGroupCellWidth="6" defaultlayout:StartLayout GroupCellWidth="6" Thanks Matt
  9. Hi All, Something has broken whilst I was trying to add some new shortcuts to our desktops - I have a list of Icons in a GPP which are in a certain "order" - this was applying correctly up until I tried to add a few new icons yesterday - but now, even tho' the order is still set in place - when it's applied it seems to ignore this and place them all in alphabetical order which I don't want. The reason being, I wish to keep certain program together. Any ideas why it's now decided to ignore the ordering or how I can force it once again to use the order. I've tried creating a new GPP with icons applied to a different OU and this is also ignoring the ordering too. Thanks Matt
  10. The mystery continues! I've noticed that Office 2021 is available for download and I've created the XML config files for that - downloaded the source files locally - added it into MDT and... THIS WORKS! But doing the same thing with 2019 doesn't! Weird!
  11. Does this XML file pull the files in directly from the internet then with this setting "AllowCdnFallback="TRUE" as you have no reference to a local source directory - I'm trying to avoid this to save on bandwidth and have the setup files already downloaded locally to help speed up install.
  12. Thanks - will PM you know!
  13. OK - Just tried a deployment again using an old setup.exe and it failed again with the same message. These are the versions I've tried - setup.exe 16.0.14527.20144 - 7.72MB - this was the latest file that downloaded from the Microsoft website setup.exe 16.0.11617.33601 - 5.04MB - this is an older setup file that I'd previously downloaded and use when I've done a manual install from a different network install folder on existing computers.
  14. I'm just trying again with an old setup.exe file I've found from previous - so fingers crossed!! If not... I don't suppose your able to send me a copy of the setup.exe that is working for you are you?
  15. Hi, This is the XML file I have created at - https://config.office.com/deploymentsettings PIDKEY has been blanked in the example below, but is correct in my actual XML file. I've also tried with the Source Code reading as - SourcePath="\\SERVERNAME\deploymentshare$\Applications\Office2019x64" and with the line removed completely but still no luck! Thanks Matt
