super suggest you get walkie talkies that have a charging docking station! dealing with batteries can be a pain in these things!

I did try the onscreen keyboard only.. Also the onscreen keyboard would show any of the modifier keys active. I'm baffled!

Yes, I can log in thanks to an old super user post but I'm baffled by the cause. I swapped keyboards, then I used the on screen keyboard and nothing! I can't use the letter "p" I unplugged all USB devices (not the 2nd keyboard by itself) and still no... I ended up (as suggested by a superuser) using alt+112 phew! I can log in. I can't get it to work any other way... ideas? I did check both keyboards for a stuck windows key but the win+p combo for screen config also does not work at the lock screen.

Cost of living crisis 2022 - what have you cut back on?
chazzy2501 replied to Ditto's topic in General Chat
I know, I've already kind of done this but now it is official... My electric IS more than my mortgage: I owe soo much, I guess I'm not getting a 4090 this year -
That looks like a Unicol Gyrolock fitting, you could buy the universal mount.

Our UL-35 has kicked the bucket and it's going to be £5000 to put right!! (3700 for a nwe ULR and other stuff) (360 to miove!) Anyones school upgrading or not using a laser cutter? argh!

The interactive TVs are super heavy and require more planning to install, the interactive features are never used. A consumer TV seems fragile for a classroom. Our projectors (epson interactive UST) are interactive but rarely used (interactively).. I've been installing sub£500 3600 lumin wxga projectors for the last 2 years... I just can't have some oik break a TV leaning or lobbing something at it.

Got this today with the improved math function: You still need a person to verify this stuff or you'll be driven under a lorry!

Cost of living crisis 2022 - what have you cut back on?
chazzy2501 replied to Ditto's topic in General Chat
I'm a single occupant living in a small cottage that has a G rated energy efficiency. The heating is all electric (oil radiators) to keep my cottage at 16c this is the cost. this is my WEEKLY cost... The electric this month will exceed my mortgage. -
Applocker denies some pupils access to their documents?
chazzy2501 replied to chazzy2501's topic in Windows 10
cheers, I did go through the app locker event log, as I suspected it was an old VBS printer script for double mapping a printer. No other issues. Running out of space doesn't usually stop access to their files, the event log show that it couldn't create certain directories (favourites, etc) I assume this led to the issue. I did see that some of the apps I denied were trying to update (calculator, alarms), hope this isn't an issue going forward. -
Applocker denies some pupils access to their documents?
chazzy2501 replied to chazzy2501's topic in Windows 10
dang, I was sure it was my recent changes but she'd simply run out of space. I've never seen this outcome though when this happens? -
I've recently setup applocker for the exam accounts but as it has to work on every computer that could possibly be used and can't be enabled on a user basis...... anyway, it seems ok but I have one pupil who get a "restricted access" to her documents folder.. (not the big blue disallowed, you'd with an applocker violation) I would have this as a one off but another pupil said it happened to them as well. I'm getting a script error as well for all pupils but this does not seem to cause issues on the whole and I assume it is an old printer script. I'm wondering what mechanism maps the users profile from active directory "we use w:" and how I've broken it.

I disable Edge and internet explorer using applocker (allowing Speech to Text to still work in office 2019)
