Hello, Has anyone been able to get ThumbnailPhoto from an on premises AD, to work on Windows 11? I have looked and tried several different powershell scripts, set up group policies, and followed this guide https://www.codetwo.com/admins-blog/use-active-directory-user-photos-windows-10/ as I have also tried their free software, but no matter what I do, the photos do not appear. Has anyone else been able to make this work? Thanks

Hello, I have been moving all of ours Gen 8 and 9 iPads onto Meraki MDM from Mosyle which has worked as expected. Apart from some of the Gen 9 iPads auto dim when you sign out, I have changed the settings in the Accessability section on the iPad itself, but doesn't seem to save the setting. Has anyone else had this problem? Also, I am enrolling our older iPads (iPad Air 2 16GB) using Apple Configurator, it's installing all of the apps and profiles apart from user based ones, I am facing the following issues; Not installing user based profile settings iPad signs straight in by pressing the home button, I have gone into settings and I can't even set one there. On the MDM dashboard the device under management is says Supports User Channel - No I am very new to Mac, as I have never used one before, but I have followedthe guidance from ASM and Meraki documentation, and I'm doing everything that I should be doing. I have contacted Apple, who states I need to contact Meraki, which I have done and they are very helpful. But I was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem and knows of a quick resolution to the issue. Thank you

Hello, I am looking into using GCPW for pupils and staff to sign into their Google Workspace account on Windows devices in school. I have followed the guidance on https://apps.google.com/supportwidget/articlehome?hl=en&article_url=https%3A%2F%2Fsupport.google.com%2Fa%2Fanswer%2F9796679%3Fhl%3Den&assistant_id=generic-unu&product_context=9796679&product_name=UnuFlow&trigger_context=a but I don't think it is working as it should? I installed the GCPW software onto a machine that I use for testing, which is logged in under my windows active directory username. I have associated with my Google Workspace account, but when I login using my Google account it re-creates my profile onto the machine instead of using my active directory user account, already been used on the device. Some staff still use their Documents saved to their Windows AD account, so I need to be able to merge the two together, so they login with their Google Workspace using the GCPW but also have access to their Documents saved under their Windows AD. Our internet filtering determines the correct permissions by the groups in our Windows AD, so this is another reason why I need it to sync the 2 together. Pupils it doesn't matter, as they don't save to their Windows AD, they only save to their Google account, but once again I need their Windows AD to sync with their GCPW to determine their internet permissions. Has anyone managed to get this working? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi I have set a GPO to turn off the 'Let Windows manage my default printer' I have enabled the GPO "Turn off Windows default printer management", and did gpupdate/force and restarted but the setting is still set as on. As we have many printers I want staff to set their default printer. I have looked and there is a way of doing it via registry editor but ideally want to be able to do it via group policy. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hello, I want to lockdown the settings - I want Settings, Downloads & File Exporer enabled but the others diabled. I don't want people to change this but I can't find a GPO for this. Has anyone else been able to prevent users from changing this? Thanks

Hello, We used to have Ergo Free2Teach where we were able to upload bulk users and edit bulk users. We have removed this software and upgraded to NetSupport Schools, but you are unable to bulk create users. Does anybody know of any free software to bulk create users? I need to create 60 users (EYFS going into Year 1), I also need to edit 60 pupils (Year 1 going to Year 2) as I need to add individual passwords. Thank you

Once I reset it to factory settings I can then re-join it to Mosyle. As the problem I am having is that I can't download the profile onto the iPad as it says Error.

I want it to be a standalone iPad not on Mosyle, I have removed it from Apple School Manager but in the settings on the iPad I don't see options to reset the iPad.

Hello We use Mosyle MDM server, all the apps are users are showing still. This is been removed from Mosyle Manager but the users and apps are still showing. How can I reset back to factory settings to start a fresh when the device is not showing on the Manager? I have looked at their support but can't see anything useful and I can't find a contact email for them. Thank you

Hi, We have a UniFi CloudKey (Gen 1) when this was installed in 2020, it wasn't set up to have a Guest Network meaning that when visitors use our WiFi they are using the same as pupils and staff (which requires a certificate to be installed through our internet provider). I'm looking at setting up a Guest Network using a different IP range (so no certificate is required) to our main one, we currently have 3 different IP ranges with LGfL. My question is, do I need to have this additional IP range added to our DHCP server? I don't want them having access to our Network. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
