yeap, got one a few months ago an amazing device that I never use! (Going to flog it on ebay soon)
-
My thought is, if it isn't broke don't fix it. I don't know if cables have a life span but unless the PCs start having issues, just leave it be.
-
from 2% to 4% what bad luck on me.. I usually just re-new every 2 years and it works out! I'll be paying an extra £850 over the next 2 years in interest. My mate locked his in last year at 1.7% for 5 years lucky gimboid.

@noelmm this is exactly what happened here. I just couldn't get it to work, they wouldn't respond to help requests. So we moved to tinkercad.

autodesk usually requires a local licensing server?! The license would only last 2 or 3 years before requiring you to update it. (which is a pain in the behind)

Main Hall Projector Suggestions
chazzy2501 replied to Warwick_Tech's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
I asked AVPartmaster! I told them the projector I had already (Sanyo XM100L) and asked for a suitable replacement. They also sold me the new bracket to fit the existing unicol pole as well. easier than calculating distance and drop. -
Main Hall Projector Suggestions

ACTUAL MESUREMENTS! this is projection is 4.2m wide 5m diagonal. so 196" diagonal this pic is from the back of the hall 25m from the screen. This is projected onto regular cloth, so were loosing a lot of brightness, I grumbled to management but oh well. it still works but could be much better. -
Main Hall Projector Suggestions

Yeap, still projector, for a hall with 300+ people you'd need a 200" plus screen (ours is approx 270") about 6 times the area of a 100" tv. we use just installed a Epson EB-G7200W it was £2100 a 7500lumin beast looks good even on our rubbish backing. (lens is motorized, so it could go where the old projector was to save costs!) -
well smart meter prices will be wrong as the online Eon says my rate is 33.86p damn it, useless device.

Should I trust it? it the latest zigbee style one supplied by the electric company. I can't alter the values..

woah, that looks complex. I'll need time to dig in.. From the outset it looks like the user can issue a form but not pre-fill the form, have it filled by user then forward for approval ?!?!

Admin staff want a form that they can fetch and fill in BUT allow other people to edit as it progresses and ALSO somehow run a report on the outcomes of the forms. (highlight incomplete forms too) I don't think MS Forms can do this.. anything else that could?

The head(amame) project I'm making some 3d printed high end headphones
chazzy2501 posted a blog entry in chazzy2501's Blog
I've been 3d printing for years now but have always stuck to using PLA a friendly, forgiving material to use... The amame use PETG.. When I found my sample PETG roll at home it was empty and had the message "poop do not use".. I'd forgotten that.. Anyhow undeterred and wanting the correct acoustic profile for the headset, I bought more. anyone interested the files are for sale here:https://shop.vectorfinesse.com/collections/files/products/headamame-v1-file-download here is one I put together with parts from 3 different headphones as I kept changing my mind during the 6 weeks of printing. Grey, red, pewter, then purple sparkle. ((now white)) (£60 of unnecessary flip flopping on colour) -
Office LTSC 2021 - Stop automatically signing-in
chazzy2501 replied to Koldov's topic in Office Software
At a guess as Outlook is part of the office suite, it would just grab those credentials. -
How do you know what clients are having issues? I'm asking for myself because I'd have no idea if this was a large problem for our system.

Mine's ok but I am logged in with my school account. Don't know if this matters. 1 update had failed the clock but the error was at their end.

Sharepoint sites for class Teams untouched by SDS rollover process
chazzy2501 replied to nickjelly's topic in Cloud Services
oh, I see. well the email address doesn't change so I'm guessing no, the SharePoint address remains also. I've added myself to an expired team to see what is what. Not an issue I've run into as my staff don't browse SharePoint for team groups. -
a 1GB PDF must be quite the unwieldy file...

+1 for AV Partsmaster. They'll do the original lamp with compat housing. btw that projector could be replaced for triple the price of the lamp and be more than 100% better. I get these: https://www.ebuyer.com/835540-viewsonic-pa503x-dlp-projector-portable-3d-3600-ansi-pa503x

off topic: are you got the right licenses to deploy office 365.. I'm stuck with 2019 or 2021.

Sharepoint sites for class Teams untouched by SDS rollover process
chazzy2501 replied to nickjelly's topic in Cloud Services
When running group report, you select within the CSV from all possible groups the ones that should be archived. You can't or maybe shouldn't run a group clean-up with an active profile as it would cause a conflict and start recreating the groups as you clean (archive) them. As you've started a new sync without ensuring that the old teams were archived, I'm afraid that they may have been reused with new owners and pupils. The Group clean-up is only intended for groups created by SDS (afaik). This isn't made for groups created by staff. (unless you also choose them in the group cleanup csv) -

chazzy2501 replied to nickjelly's topic in Cloud Services
No, this isn't automatic. You're supposed to run a group report, then edit the csv output delete all but the SDS teams you WANT to archive. Then you apply the rename and archive tool by uploading the csv. Then go on to make a new sync profile and sync the new lot. EDIT: you needed to do this before syncing..: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/group-cleanup -
it's been bungled for a few days but the google search result for "office 365 login" and "sign in - outlook" already has a realm entered for =masterworks. This leads to a GoDaddy SSO... well a few more people are getting this than is ideal!
