    Anyone got a broken GTX 970 / 980/ 980ti I need a heatsink. I bought a broken hybrid card, missing water cooler, I just need a heatsink that'll go over the die.. cheers anyone..

    I've done this with plastic shells but have used washers on the backside. (still not pretty but works!) This was my compaq armada ??e400?? I still have it!

    I do these every now an then, thought I'd post one. This is an HP 440 G7 with a broken hinge flopping about, left alone it'll destroy the laptop. Usually a new shell is ordered or sometimes an entire screen assembly. But I like cheap and fast... Remove old screws and broken plastics, drill holes, pop rivet, (I've had to do it in reverse with this laptop as there is little clearance.) so the nice looking bit is unseen Outside view, not terrible but more importantly not sharp. These fixes have lasted years on other laptops.

    My first Digital camera was a Benq 1.3Mp with 16megabytes of storage. The 1440p monitor I write this on is also a Benq.

    loopback typical use case was for printers (a user GPO that is applied to a computer container) with loop back enabled, it'll add the printer to any user logging into that PC. You should run the "Group Policy Modelling" wizard, this'll show what is expected to be applied. (to a given user or user container using a given PC or computer container) Then run the "Group policy Results Wizard" this'll show what RSOP does but also has the policy event logs. (and saves you getting out your seat) You'll need WMI firewall access setup to the workstation. You can also PUSH a GPO update from the group policy management, right click on a container and select Group policy update...

    This was called Adobe Spark. It seems quite long winded to set it up with Office 365 (Azure) is it worth it? We already have a photo and video editors on line that were happy with... but it's free.....

    you have to stop using the static ip address first on the old nic, if you just disable the nic you'll find that you can't allocate that static ip to the new nic. so put the old nic into automatic then configure the new nic with the static ip address.

    From the "group policy management" use the group policy modelling wizard! (pick a pupil and a pupil computer) see what it expects to apply. (rule out dns issues etc.) Then run a results GPO on an actual pc for a report. EDIT: you can just pick the containers.. (also GPOs that were successfully applied may still be WMI filtered.)

    You can see its an obvious landslide, what guff are they talking about mysterious underground what? There is even a construction site above it in the picture! I can only assume council members have financial ties to the above construction, to make a wild excuses like mysterious underground movements.

    the machine wide installer won't work as I've got the don't bother new people with teams GPO enabled (before not using the machine wide installer anyway). I've checked the users profile and it not new (as outlook still works)... stumped.

    I have a teacher and their laptop, we've installed teams twice now and they come in the next day and it's nowhere to be found. NOT installed, no record of it ever being on the laptop?! Ideas?

    its a really strange issue the hot end will work fine for a while. but upon some retractions it'll get stuck.. I didn't do a cold pull but did do many hot and warm pulls and didn't observe noticeable contamination. All I can say is when it finds the blockage no amount of force (by hand at 200c) could get it to feed. but back off and try again it'll be fine. Unfortunately the nozzle is not removable on the junior.

    Annoyingly after little use over the past 5 years we finally have a technology teacher that wants to 3d print... After many failed attempts we discovered that the hotend (xyz call it a print head) has failed... this is a £60+ part any chance anyone here has got a discarded xyz junior with a good hotend Boring problem: there is an issue between the heat break and the hotend. upon retraction the filament can get jammed. this isn't a serviceable part

    with the Unifi system if the controller fails most things keep working. (you loose portal stuff) but connected devices stay connected and policies stay in affect. What system do you have that if the controller fails you loose all connectivity?
