  1. I have a quest 2 and it is an awesome bit of kit for £300... maybe set them up on a guest wifi first... What do they want it to do?
  2. using the SalamanderSDS you should get 6 CSV outputs exported from SIMS. This is the way to go.
  3. among the CSV exported by Salamander you'll see a teacher.csv and a student.csv these will have names and id's. EDIT: emails MUST be in the WORK field in SIMS. also set as the primary.
  4. We've been having trouble with 4K interactive panels. I bought some EDID injectors that fool the laptop into only sending 1080p/60 making the connection more reliable. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Hakeeta-Emulator-Displays-Support-Compatibility-default/dp/B07W6Q3CVN/ref=sr_1_10?crid=1X385GUKFCOM8&keywords=edid&qid=1641890000&s=electronics&sprefix=edid%2Celectronics%2C73&sr=1-10 also optical HDMI leads are a thing and should negate distance and interference issues. Some amazon basics are optical! (look for source and destination labels)
  5. it's the projector not the board, pick 1024x768 for a square 4:3 ratio. Then see if the projector has a ratio or aspect button.
  6. This is what I was going to say, flipbook duplex rather than book duplex.
  7. Thanks, I tried it and I get the same result The CPU clocks down to 0.39Ghz when the multicore test hits it.... I've checked for a BIOS update and there is one but it doesn't list a boost fix or improvement.
  8. I bought a ps3 slim recently! I had a post about it here, really just to play ps3 games I missed. I've been playing singularity a time travel what not and the first drakes fortune.. The Nazi submarine bit was a cool.
  9. I think something like this https://www.lencarta.com/brands/boya-by-wm3u-wireless-microphone-system would have the right workflow for a teacher. it's not bluetooth but usbc (or headset) but will work more reliably than a bluetooth mic. Even the apple wireless earbuds pro 2 have terrible bluetooth audio (recording) as do most bluetooth microphones.
  10. @Norphy yeap, that's what I meant, or got confused with... The Gamecube.. I have have one as well, the resident evil edition in silver.. I think anyway. yes the gamecube was an over clocked n64 and the wii could play gamecube games (and use the controllers) (the first ones anyway)..
  11. I still have a dreamcast with the official keyboard and mouse and shemue2... Never gonna dig it out the attic. (also the official VGA cable!)
  12. this means its also n64 compatible? (as the wii was an overclocked N64)
  13. I checked thermals with HWINFO never spiked horribly, also the temp is now still fine that I've locked the ratio to 44. it's a little complicated the power and thermal boost limits on AMD. I'd prefer to have it at stock settings and working properly.
  14. I'll check the BIOS for an update, good idea.. I've just locked the speed in the BIOS to 44 and it's pretty much benching on par. https://valid.x86.fr/xd3hbj EDIT: problem will be the energy consumption at its always at 4.4Ghz...
  15. I had some free time today and thought I'd bench my Ryzen 5 and there seems to be an issue. I've not seen a google post on poor multicore benchmarking... anyhow here is a link to the CPU-Z score... https://valid.x86.fr/9xmmcm as you can see the multithread score is borked... when the test it running it'll shoot to 4000+ then slam down to this puny score... Ideas? EDIT: the CPU speed drops to just 0.39 Ghz when testing.. the GPU temp (which is on the same die) is only at 30c
  16. I've set all mine to just 6fps / 6mbit for 4k and 3mbit for 2k. Enough to see people and intention. Having less frames the image is a little better, especially when it gets dark and the picture more noisy. Also having lower bitrate and framerate increases storage AND makes scrubbing much faster. (if using a mobile connection especially) it is a key issue to setup the bitrate in low light as this is the more demanding.
  17. yeah, I click to get the app from Azure Marketplace, it makes me login to azure (even though, I'm already logged in) it then takes me to a page to buy a trial of azure OR to view azure. I choose view and it takes me to my azure but nothing happens....?
  18. WUFB it works using Azure, is it free?
  19. I have the pupils email them
  20. ubuntu is another bust treats the touch input like a mouse, no finger scroll in firefox and the onscreen keyboard (although shows up) does not accept input. (also neither camera is found) I'm surprised that no Linux distro can just work out of the box. These tablets are getting recycled next year.
  21. JingOS looked nice didn't rotate Full ubuntu is looking good, the installer is the right was round for a start!
  22. darn, it just doesn't work on tablets. No tablet mode at all. No auto rotate and when you do rotate the touch screen doesn't know about it. Nothing to open an on screen keyboard....
  23. pretty easy so far!
  24. We have some HP PRO tablets G1 these are quad atom,4gbram,64gb storage with TPM2.0. They run Windows 8.1 just fine and have been stuck there. They can run Windows 10 and 11! but when they do they become very laggy although the tablets resources are not busy they behave strangely with anything other than Windows 8.1 I was thinking about getting Linux onto them (we have 14) as 8.1 will expire next year. These are a UEFI device and I can't remember if Linux can even be installed on one.. Anyone recommend a Linux distro and tool for installing. These tablets are used for Media Studies so filming and field trips.
  25. @3s-gtech it always has for me?! it would seem that the whole policy isn't applying the settings is just one part. I rebooted the Domain controllers. The policy is applying BUT is working for my test pupil but not for others... one of the DCs may be funky?
