    I've only just got around to turning off "news and interests" now my exam accounts are loading a weather info card on the taskbar that has news in it. This is the EDUCATION version of Windows, WTF are M$ doing! anyone know how to GPO it off

    Can anyone give me an outline of what I'm supposed to do to deploy / install and maintain fusion 360? I can't decode the lab install nor do I understand the ps script provided above. cheers!

    Yes, I'm afraid it is just running a remote desktop version in a webpage, it has exceptionally bad performance (tested using a 1gbp internet hardwired and ryzen 5000, last week) its rather laggy with poor resolution with a choppy 5fps refresh. it is beyond trash. only get worse on laptops and lower hardware. It must be awful on a chrome book.

    omg, the url links in the lab install don't work for windows (mac is ok) they're just pictures of the links not actual links... I'm so utterly peed off with autodesk recently....

    when it says $InstallerPath = "" what installer am i looking for? the fusion 360 client downloader or the fusion admin 360install?

    you can specify a minimum data rate for wifi clients, this stops one slow client borking the rest.

    it turns out I have a couple of DS218+ boxes, I'd forgotten about. (were still running but the task was redundant) I got one to back-up my whole tenant in 20 minutes... what a great tool! It seems I have the old azure need a cc to identify yourself (like wsus for business) and fill in a form to allow Teams backups.. (shame) not Synology's fault. My tenant is using 2.4Tb so cutting close to the 2.6Tb on the DS218+ but I'll upgrade storage if it works well. I've set it for a weekend download.

    I've been trialing an "EDID Feeder" basically tells the laptop the display is only capable of certain refresh rates and resolutions. Seems to work well.

    anyhow: trying to authenticate the school. I have an educational sign in already... I'm trying to verify the school, it keeps telling me to choose my school from the drop down menu..... where this magical drop down is f knows. so I'm using the "get procuts page" from the education community... where drop down?

    you can have the users auto login with their windows credentials. (You can eliminate the need for separate logins, then it'll follow the AD policy) Set it somewhere in users for SIMS. (only for local SIMS)

    MX500 has DRAM cache which is nice for the OS drive.

    I had Netflix for a year longer than I wanted because I was letting family (not household) use it. I'd have definitely cancelled it if this happened.
