  1. Softcat have been great for me. I use them to provide a few A3 licenses and some Office LTSC licences for the exams laptops.
  2. Hi good folks, I have just had our reseller request a new GDAP and I want to know if this is the correct level of access just to buy some licenses. I know they have to be seen as able to service the end user so unsure what the norm is now and could do with your guidance.
  3. Tried the Bambu P2S for the first time yesterday, and it did a smashing job printing out its "Bed Scraper". The built-in camera gives the students a way to write up about their creation and embed the timelapse within it using something like Canva.
  4. Hi Rob, Our school's science department just got a Bambu P2S, and it sounds like you were pondering the same thing I am currently. I am currently looking at how many Chinese.cn communications there is, and the fact it wants Amazon AWS fully open, so I am looking at the LAN-only option on the device. I noticed the built-in camera doesn't work in LAN-only mode, but I think there is a slider I need to tick to enable this (hopefully), as this is the only thing we would miss. We won't be using the Bambu app; we will be using it from their slicing software on a small handful of Windows laptops at the beginning. How have your experiences been with it so far?
  5. I see from YouTube it's still config.office.com so still the same as previous.
  6. I've skim read through this... Has the way activation is done for Office 2024 LTSC changed from Office 2021 LTSC? No serveres here so I used to just put the key in the package and create an installer file that I manually ran on laptops that needed LTSC. (There was nerver many just exams laptops)
  7. Might seem a strange question, but I already purchased these licences off one reseller, but can I purchase these licences from another reseller at the same time and have them on the same tenant? Strange request I know, but I have my reasons that I don't want to air on here. Thanks folks
  8. I went the Synology route, as it takes up little room and has built-in 365 backup functionality. If a disc goes or the device goes down, then no stress, as this is your third backup, so you have time to resolve it. It's the easiest answer.
  9. I have a script that I wrapped up as a .intunewin installer. The install runs on Admin logins then it is done for all users that login on that computer. We have roughly 6 Kyocera copiers here and nobody has complained so far.
  10. Good resource that I will fire that over to them and let them peruse that option for sure. Thanks cnewstead
  11. I have suggested to the music teacher that they can request the school buy some small-value Apple gift cards and use these against an Apple ID that he controls for use on his student laptops. That way the expense is controlled by the music department and cannot be abused in the same way they had a debit card assigned to the account.
  12. Hi folks, our music teacher has suddenly pulled DJ decks and trombones out of his back end following a grant. Now he wants to know how he can run his class going forward and asks... How do we link the music accounts to download MP3s to laptops? How does the school pay for any downloaded music? If a pupil requests a song to work with, what are the guidelines that we should adhere to? Currently in rap performance I allow tracks that have swear words, but it is one thing to stream a track off YouTube to be studied “in the moment” and another to purchase it for download as a budgetary expense. How do you folks run this? Currently I have audio/video sites/services blocked in Lightspeed and Sophos.
  13. How's the situation now after easter?
  14. Keep us posted on that Monitoring. 👍
