    Seen a lot in this thread about keeping content up to date but I thought I would say what i've done to almost automate the entire content side of things using Xibo. Multiple areas on the screen with the following College logo nice background of the college grounds washed out a bit so text is readable over the top. Clock Widget with date 5 day weather forecast Social media icons with the online handle Our admin team build a calendar at the beginning of the year with all of the events/deadlines in it, so that was easy enough to export as an ical file and add into xibo showing "Todays events" I used rss.app to convert our twitter feed into an RSS feed. Xibo then pulls the picture and the text from each tweet, formats it nicely and puts it in it's own bounding box. It then rotates the 5 latest tweets. It's been rock solid for months now, if anyone if interested i can share what my layout looks like in PMs

    I've rolled out hundreds of Drayteks for homeworkers over the years and i've never seen this happen. maybe roll it back a firmware version? (I also use a 2862 at home with a bunch of vigorap 902's, the number of features that it supports out of the box for a home environment is amazing)

    Everything outside of their property is supposed to be masked/redacted to remain GDPR compliant. Go one further than an FOI. Put a SAR in so they have to hand over copies of every clip of video that have you on.     You have two routes (So two switches) and your storage has everything doubled (power/controller) with multiple connections (4-8 typically) and disks are in a raid array.

    What you should really do is setup High availability failover clustering rather than replication since it's such a small scale using some shared network storage, Synology NAS boxes are more than capable of doing iSCSI so that's a cost effective option. The VM's can "float" between the two servers, you can live migrate the VMs between the hosts, allowing you to do maintenance and there's redundancy. It's also scalable, so you can add more hosts/storage at a later date. I have our 60 VMs spread across 3 hosts in this manner, including 2 DC's. But I do have a physical server running as a third DC for emergencies, that's located in a different building. As for backups, Veeam takes care of everything

    It's included in the CC named user licenses. Deploy the adobe creative cloud desktop via sccm Azure group membership to provision adobe accounts. Set up SSO with 365/adobe Users can then help themselves via the adobe desktop application

    5412/5406/2530/2540's here. As others have said, rock solid with a lifetime warranty! Cant complain about that. Using CX 6300M 24 SPF+'s as the SAN core. That's not skipped a beat either

    We use Ruckus, guest SSID on a Guest VLAN. Access is provisioned via "guest passes" which you can set an expiry date on.

    Turning on the store for business and not approving anything was a great work around for not having to do all the Appx removals or disable store GPO and let core services still update

    Grab a wildcart cert from godaddy or something, add that in to the deployment under certificates for each of the roles and you should be good to go. Not totally the right way, but when you use a bunch of subdomains it works out the cheaper option

    We put surface pros out to teachers, acrobat pro and the stylus work great for marking work submitted by PDF. They're pricey though that's the downfall. Lenovo/Dell make some good tablets at reasonable prices with the same capabilities

    Little more expensive, but less maintenance. Synology nas with 96TB of skyhawks - £5,500 IP cameras hik do some around the £100 mark. Software is free Just plugs into your regular IT infrastructure then off you go

    Facilities guys access all areas. No questions asked. I've got three phase board supplying the room - That's the electricians. There's multiple AC units - That's the plumbers There's fire suppression and detection - That's our porters (They test, monitor and deal with our fire alarm company). It's a room on campus - Security need to be able to check all rooms. It's a room - Fire marshals need to be able to confirm a building has been evacuated. Don't dig your heels in, it'll bite you later. If you don't want the equipment touched, lock your cabs (Plus it looks good with the doors shut on server racks).

    D is how I setup everything, but skip DVR for a NAS and just install the relevant application on the workstations. Cameras to be IP cams too, no adaptors etc.

    I'd be warey about using Inventry for anything other than visitor management, it's very clunky when it's outside of it's comfort zone. I had performance issues in mind when we purchased Inventry, so virtualised the backend on much higher spec hardware than their units and it still runs like a dog. They have an app, that's very slow though and each user needs to be granted permission to use the app. That being said, Inventry can PULL users from iSAMS, so it populated the database and has the ability to writeback to AM and PM registration sessions only, so could work with classmark.

    I've actually had a quote for Biostore E-registration this week. Price surprised me (in comparison with Reach and Orah, but they do a lot more than just e-registration). I'm keen to see what responses you get. Our MIS is iSAMS, both ISAMS and Biostore are owned by Iris.

    I ended up ditching chrome sign builder, the process was just too messy to chop and change things. Switched to Xibo and never looked back.
