  1. Thanks very much! Think this may be a little out of my skille skill set but might take a final look over half term. I am trying to build a system that pulls team lists from Socs, collate with medical info into a table and then present to staff (maybe with Power apps). At present we can't get medical info into Socs which is a bit of a frustration for staff.
  2. Our main thing is a couple of bits from the medical centre (what we need is slightly less sensitive and security measures on where it will be downloaded will be tight). I imagine the requests might be ok (using the Swagger guide) but I really don't understand the authentication process. If anyone could provide a quick walkthrough on connecting (preferably via Powershell or, at a push, python) it would be really appreciated.
  3. I am pretty familiar with how to pull info from a batch API, but for some of the bits I need to access from our MIS (iSAMS) I need to access via REST API. Does anyone have a quick way of explaining how this differs, and what I need to do to connect. I am only trying to pull info, not write-back. Thanks in advance.
  4. Afternoon! As our current provider (Tali) are getting out of the cashless catering market I am starting to prepare a shortlist of companies we may want to consider moving forwards. At the moment I am aware of Cunninghams, Civica and SwiftQ. If anyone has any experience of the above it would be greatly appreciated, particularly around the following areas if you know: Online Payments - Yes, via ParentPay | Yes, via own platform | No MIS Sync (particularly iSAMS or via Wonde / Groupcall) Integration with MySchoolPortal Any feedback before I properly start digging would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Hi all, I used sign in app in a previous trust and had nothing but an outstanding experience. This time around things are different and I am struggling to get timely (or any) response to support tickets. I get a reply from Vizzy (AI?) but when I respond it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Are others having the same difficulties? Is support@ the best way to log tickets? Is there a phone number?
  6. Did you ever get around to putting this on Github... would be very keen to take a look. We have Salamander but struggling to get out documents stored under Fees Communication (unless anyone can advise otherwise)
  7. Does anyone here sync ParentPay from iSAMS (via Groupcall)??? If so would you be able to provide us with which field it uses as the unique identifier for the pupil? At present I can see from the API it could be three options: Pupil ID Person ID Person GUID SchoolID I suspect it is SchoolID but want to make 100% certain first as we are going through a mapping exercise (changing MIS) and I am not filled with confidence we have the correct info! Don't want to be in a position we have 100's (or possibly 1000's) or duplicates!
  8. Hi all, We have been using Salamander Document Exporter as we transition away from SIMS, but I believe the latest update has broken it! Really bad timing for us as we were hoping to have it all extracted over the next few days. If anyone has it and is on the latest Summer release I would be extremely appreciative if you could give it a go and see if it works.
  9. We would love to speak to someone. We have called multiple times (which has raised multiple tickets which has subsequently been closed) been promised call backs several times and are getting nowhere. Current open ticket is CS0290268
  10. As title, has anyone who has undergone a merger managed to successfully combine two schools under one ParentPay? At present we have 2 Sims Servers > 2 ParentPays We will (hopefully) have 1 iSAMS tenency > 1 ParentPay It is important to have 1 ParentPay tenency for our future shared catering platform. I am getting nowhere with support and wondered if anyone has done this and what the process is like. ParentPay don't have an API integration with iSAMS so will be a manual upload so getting all students on shouldn't be an issue... I just have no idea what it will do with Parents who have existing accounts. Can they setup from scratch? Can they merge in the new pupil account? Will they see the old one and can this be avoided by removing that from the old tenency?
  11. Hi all, Does anyone have any good free / open source seating plan software they use? Currently we use Edulink but moving to iSAMS we will lose this functionality. Have seen ClassCharts has this, but you need to buy the full package. Is there any other cheaper alternatives out there?
  12. Sorry, I should have added that I have the login details, and a link to the db which has allowed me to create my own reports - but downloaded ones don't seem to use this data source. Is there something I need to do to link the two?
  13. Managed to make a couple of reports myself after setting up a connection to the iSAMS database, but now I would like to tweak a couple of pre-created ones. I find Visual Studio easier than the cloud editor and have downloaded the templates, but when I try to run locally I get: An error occured during local report processing. An error has occured during report processing. I presume it is something to do with the connection to the database. Does it need to be in a certain format?
  14. Sorry - for some reason it won't let me post it... even as code
  15. Managed to get it sorted a few days after I posted this. I couldn't explain what the code does not, but if you are interested here is the query that pulled in everything I needed
