We have been doing 1 to 1 Chromebooks for a number of years. Parents pay for the device so the student owns it, but we still end up replacing a fair number of screens. Before this we use to have laptop trolleys, I don't miss them..... you all know why....

the sooner the better... requested by many customers.... unsurprisingly....

They are developing a single install client.... should be released this year.... no more user interaction.

Never had any issues with Computer Disposal Experts and we have given them plenty of non working broken damaged devices !

The new FMS is delayed, basically current FMS cloud hosted, we have been through the process.

We use RedStor, which we purchased via RM, pretty much unlinited storage, easy to configure and use.

I am waiting for them to remote in today... as we still keep finding issues since move to the same FMS in a new place.... LOL

Since Christmas we have.... Sims on a new VM which is on a new host.... upgrade to SQL 2022..... made no difference.... and yes.... we have deployed those performance patches many times....we are moving away at the end of his school year.

Yep... should of been moving to the new FMS whatever that is called... then had a message saying this was being delayed now.... no date given as too when this will happen. I wonder how many support calls they get regarding performance issues... we have certainly logged plenty.....

The new FMS... Which is still the same as the on prem FMS... just force you to migrate it to sims connected ( Cloud )

If you are dealing with RM Internet support based in India, good luck.....

Took the Guy from ESS half a day.... and then a few more hours tidying up everything that didn't work as expected the following day.

ESS did ours over Easter.... wasn't straight forward... but we use SIMS and FMS Discover.... moving to Isams soon,

Wish they would bring out a simpler way of deploying Hive.... painful at the moment..... one package that does everything and doesn't require access to command prompt to install would be ideal
