  1. I had this twice first thing this morning, got a timeout message, restarted the SQL service both times and its been OK since.
  2. Uninstalled what @BOOT suggested, rebooted the server and the upgrade ran through fine. All seems to be working, checked a few records, ran a couple of reports. Give it a few days make sure all OK and run the summer update. Cannot wait for ISAMS...
  3. Are the ODBC drivers not required or are they reinstalled in the upgrade? Cancel that don't think it needed.
  4. @BOOT Thanks for the advice, I'll give that a go.
  5. Tried the upgrade this morning and ran into issues, had messages that saying that it couldn't find the installation package for ODBC drivers 17 and 18. We use Action1 and I think they have been updated using this which is causing the problems. Think I'm going to try reinstalling the drivers not using Action1 on Friday and give it another go. Rolled back to how we were.
  6. We are the same, we haven't done anything with next gen logons for our staff as we are leaving. Have you managed to change your effective dates in the redirects? ours looks like its going to start redirecting from the 3rd of July. Had a case logged this morning with parentpay and what they are saying doesn't make much sense.
  7. I was going to do at half term but didn't get chance so I'm going to try first week of the summer hols when I'll have plenty of time to sort any issues. Fed up with Sims at the moment, can't wait to see the back of it, we are moving to isams next easter, so having to sort all the next gen redirects which are been forced on us that we don't want to do.
  8. Thanks for the feedback. I was going to go for it just wanted some reassurance. I'll check the compatibility, knew it still needs to be 2012.
  9. Hi All, I need to upgrade SQL on our Sims server over half term as 2016 is running out of MS support. Is it as simple as just running an in place upgrade of SQL on the Sims server for SQL from 2016 to 19. Anyone had any issues? I logged a call with parentpay and got a KB article about moving servers and un-attaching the database's and reattaching, just wondering if I need to do any of that. I'll have snapshots etc if I need to roll back. We are moving to isams in 27 so want to keep the Sims server ticking over for the next few months doing as little as possible. Any advice appreciated. 10. Thanks for the feedback.
  11. Is any one else having Outlook issues this morning? Had a couple of undeliverable emails, or emails been received very slowly. Nothing indicated on the Office 365 status page related to this. Thanks
  12. Hi All, We have come back from the Christmas break and we appear to be having issues with Azure AD Connect and we are getting the below issues when we are trying to logon with my account which is a azure administrator. I can logon to Azure admin portal OK and it has been syncing OK. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks
  13. Just to add to this, we went with the Apple TV setup with a quality HDMI splitter to the 3 screens and its worked brilliantly.
  14. Hi All, We are looking at using Veeam Cloud Connect to run some backup jobs to an immutable cloud storage (yet to be decided who). I'm just wondering how other schools set their Veeam jobs to backup to the cloud repository to minimise space usage\bandwidth etc and I'm trying to work out how much space we will need. Are you running daily or weekly backups with incremental, and what sort or retention policies are you setting for the jobs? I am thinking about a weekly backup with a 4 week retention as this is just for a worst case disaster recovery purposes for key servers Sims\DC etc. We already have immutable onsite and cold backups in addition our regular daily backups. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Webbobfc
  15. Our import status is failing on CPOMs as it has all week. Despite numerous calls to CPOMS and Groupcall we are getting absolutely nowhere just saying we are logged in a queue to be looked at. All looks fine on xporter on the server and the jobs seem to be running. Anyone else having similar issues with CPOMS?
