    I'm leaving

    Yer, good luck chap....
  2. Just to be different I'd say get a 4S if you can afford one...
  3. No probably not, but the OP asked in the title what is 'sensitive data'. There is a difference in the DPA between 'Personal Data' and 'Sensitive Data' and how you are supposed to handle them... The Data Protection Act 1998 states, “Appropriate technical and organisational measures shall be taken against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data.” This requirement involves a judgement as to what measures are appropriate in particular circumstances. IMO, I would say encrypt to be on the safe side, but it's all shades of grey rather than black or white...
  4. Here you go... Sensitive personal data means personal data consisting of information as to - (a) the racial or ethnic origin of the data subject, (b) his political opinions, (c ) his religious beliefs or other beliefs of a similar nature, (d) whether he is a member of a trade union (within the meaning of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992), (e) his physical or mental health or condition, (f) his sexual life, (g) the commission or alleged commission by him of any offence, or (h) any proceedings for any offence committed or alleged to have been committed by him, the disposal of such proceedings or the sentence of any court in such proceedings. More here: Key definitions of the Data Protection Act You can also order some publications from the ICO site - useful for handing out to staff...
  5. Did this very job back in 2009 - it wasn't too painful so don't worry too much! iSAMS are very helpful during the process. I might be able to remember what I did if you want to PM me!! In short, it was connect excel to PASS via ODBC and pull the relevant data out (finding the right tables was a pain IIRC), then clean up the data a bit and then submit it all to iSAMS, who did the import.
  6. Have you checked the sata settings in the BIOS? We have some nettops that will only play if set to native IDE instead of AHCI....
  7. Not really - HA would catch it and bring it up on another host - HA is not reliant on the vCenter VM running once it's set up. The consensus these days seems to lean toward virtual as you gain much more flexibility. I always have a clone of my vCenter server sitting on a different host and datastore anyway - makes life easy when doing updates if you don't have a vstorage motion licence... 8. vsp_41_esxi_i_vc_setup_guide.pdf This might help if you haven't seen it already... chapter 10 onwards...
  9. vCenter doesn't host anything - it's purely a management tool - it can run physical or virtual - ours is the latter - so just do a clean install of Server 2008 R2 with static IP etc. then install vCenter server on top and as you rightly say, point your client at it, remembering to log in using your server administrator credentials... you're gonna love vCenter! Edit - and while you've still got the vCenter iso connected, you might as well install update manger (you'll need that!) and converter too if you're going to be doing any P2V...

    London Riots

It is with regret that tomorrow’s (Wednesday 10 August) international fixture with Holland at Wembley has been called off. More news will follow on TheFA.com - The website for the English football association, The FA Cup and The England football team shortly. I have two very sad nephews now

  16. Lansweeper can do this IIRC, you might have to buy the premium version, rather than the free version to get it though. Although it is cheap and very good indeed... Free hardware inventory and software inventory for windows networks
  17. This school Main Page - Cedars School were the first to do a 1:1 iPad deployment to pupils - lots of interesting material on their site and on the ICT chaps blog at Fraser Speirs - Blog.

  21. Have you thought about an Aygo? Same car but without the rattles! We test drove 107's C1's and Aygo's and found the Toyota finish better than the other two. £20 a year road tax and 55mpg and top quality dealer service = win for me! Or one size up is the Yaris - had a loan car and it was lovely to drive...
  22. I'd contact them for a copy and permission... From their terms and conditions: "The contents of this site have full intellectual property protection. 23. I take your point about Canon lenses, but now the Nikon 5100 is out, the 5000 is a bargain - you can get one with a kit 18-55mm VR for around £470. It really is a superb camera for the money... just add a fast prime later on (the 35mm is very good) and the 55-200mm VR or 70-300mm VR can be saved up for if you need them.
  24. I had a 2.0 Xedi Freelander for 3 years - slow but would keep going forever once you wound it up. If you are buying any LR, the thing to remember is that they WILL go wrong. You need a good relationship with a decent LR Indie garage as you can forget the Main Dealer prices! I think the Freelander was the most expensive car I've owned to maintain (including a Daimler Sov and a Lotus!!) - complete gearbox rebuild and many other niggles on a car that had only done 43,000 miles. I've gone back to Toyota now and am loving the reliability again... as someone above said, I'd look at at a CRV/Mitsu unless you're a part-time mechanic! My brother has had a few shoguns and not had many probs with them...
  25. Stunning images - I have the Eyewitness app on the iPad and it's great... Nice shots in your flickr too - loved the comment about CS! Great eye for shapes you have there...
