Network Manager (Full Time) We are seeking to appoint an ICT professional to manage the ICT team, oversee all aspects of the ICT & Data services, and support staff and pupils throughout the Junior and Senior School. The successful candidate will be confident using VMware, Microsoft servers, active directory, networking and phone systems. You will have excellent management and communication skills together with relevant ICT/network qualifications and experience of managing a large network, preferably in an educational environment. I'd say it's probably best practice to remove them from the domain and sysprep before creating the template - then join the domain as you create the new VM's? You're always gonna get security issues with duplicate SIDs and names on Windows domains...

Yep, we've used them - they are cheaper as they are based in the Channel Islands IIRC... they send inks out in bits and bobs to keep below the import VAT threshold - someone will know, but I think it's no VAT on goods less than £18...

Do you know the domains they use? Do you use your own DNS server? If so, create a forward lookup zone on your DNS server for their domain and create an A record in it that points to 127.0.0.1

On my 2010ish iMac Core2Duo 8Gb - has been fine, but will move it to a Linux VM in the summer some time... wouldn't use the Windows version here...
