I have a setup with a main monitor and a couple of touchscreens. I have a problem that if I touch either of the touchscreens, my mouse pointer is repositioned to the touchscreen. This means that I need to move my mouse back to the original monitor to be able to continue working with it. This is not very convenient. Is there are workaround for this? I have checked all of the Windows settings but there doesn't seem to be an option which makes the touchscreens behave as intended.

Evening everyone. We were wanting to purchase BenQ65" touch screens to replace our old promethium boards. We've just had a demo but I was left slightly confused as the lady demonstrated something then said something contradictory as she was leaving (I know I could ask them but I don't fancy a sales pitch, I just want a fact) She showed us how we can mirror an ipad via the instaQcast which is software preloaded into the board. As she was leaving she said it will only work with a dongle which we need to purchase, I have also heard through the grapevine that the touch screen doesn't come with the Qcast preloaded, we need to purchase it. Does anyone have these screens that could let me know, did it come with it already on and what was the dongle you had to buy (I'm trying to research but 2 are coming up 'Qcast HDMI streaming dongle' and 'USB wifi dongle' would it be any of them) Thank you

Anyone know if there is a company that would be interested in buying second hand 65" Clevertouch boards? We have decided to go for Smart boards and want to sell our 1 year old Clevertouch boards. Obviously I will try local schools, but just wondered if other possibilities may be out there?

Good Morning all, I've had a primary school I work with ask about using tablets as their primary machine type. The head wants iPads, but is happy to go with Android. I personally don't see how that's going to benefit the kiddies (whole new learning curve from their home Windows machines, plus no keyboard/mouse). Does anyone know of a successful implementation of tablets and touch devices in primary schools (or any school, I guess) as opposed to having Netbooks, which I'm seeing a sharp rise in, Notebooks or the faithful PC (including thin client)? My own thoughts are: 1. Cost. Surely purchasing [x] tablets and maintaining [x] tablets over time will become more expensive than some budget netbooks? I've seen some 2Ghz 2GB Win 7 Pro Netbooks come in at a few hundred (because of separate £80~ Win 7 license). 2. Learning Curve for the smaller kiddies. 3. Do they connect to a domain? How do they store kids' work? 4. Learning to type -- forget about it. 5. 30 kids...clambering over a touch device. Asking for trouble (scratches, blemishes, drops, knocks). At least with a PC they're only going to be fighting over the keyboard/mouse which are less expensive than a curly wurly these days. 6. Lack of software -- Yes, you can get FREE and PAID apps, but can you get your standard Clicker 5, Logo, etc...? 7. Security -- can these devices use proxy settings? (I'm assuming yes). Are they susceptible to viruses, and other common problems? Can they be passworded with a user base (ie-, pupils, staff, admin, or each individual user -- AD integration with Server 200x)? All of which are cons. The only pro I can think of is that these kids will be using touch devices for the rest of their lives. Teach em young. That said, the teachers need to be able to use them as well and, without being too harsh, most of the teachers I see daily aren't that capable with a PC.

Hi all, I'm looking to fit a 65" or larger touchscreen into a room but have some concerns about durability. Budget is tight (approx £1500) but I don't really want to install a projector and white board if I can help it (because of the makeup of the room - ceiling hoists & light fittings would need alterations). Are there any large touch panels out there that would be able to take a reasonable amount of knocks, punches and withstand having various items being thrown at it - pretty much on a daily basis? Essentially, i just want to know if there are any large touch panels out there that can take a beating and if anyone on here can relate to this and share their experiences but also provide any recommendations. Thanks very much

Is anyone using touch screens instead of IWBs? I'm proposing still using a projector for the big picture but it seems that the interactive surface at £700 ish cheaper than a full IWB and providing the ability to not cast a shadow and not get blinded and to write at a more "normal" size are just some of the advantages. (no calibration when the projector moves, projected image sizes not limited to board size etc) We're struggling for funding and have three IWBs that need replacing. Iiyama do a 19" for about £350. I just need feedback either on this before committing any of our limited funds. All comments welcome Thanks

One of our recently inherited schools has a GeneTouch Corp GT55MCQ-X Touch Panel in each classroom. Over the summer I upgraded all PCs to Windows 10. Now it turns out the interactivity isn't working correctly. The school uses ActivInspire, but when the pen (or anything) is chosen it stays on the select tool. Touch doesn't seem to be great at responding even in Windows either. I tested on Notebook and the same thing initially occurs - when trying to draw with the pen, the select tool stays. Strangely after a few random selections and taps the pen does work... I can't find drivers anywhere, Google doesn't even recognise that this particular model exists. There is a random IWB driver on the Gene Touch website but this doesn't work. There is a sticker on the front of these boards - VII Touch (http://www.vii-networks.com) but I'm almost certain these guys were the re seller and not the actual manufacturer. If anyone knows of correct touch drivers or has any more info about these boards I'd massively appreciate it!

Hello all, I am trying to setup Papercut print release (Version 13.0) on a windows 8.1 (Enterprise) touchscreen PC, this is a testbed machine with the intent of having one of these wallmounted next to each of our MFDs for staff to use for print release. everything is setup alright except for the on screen keyboard - it doesn't auto pop up when you select the username and password fields and needs to be manually launched from the edge UI. Once the OSK is open and docked at the bottom of the screen, again it is great - unless someone presses the little x and closes it! is there anyway to either: a. have the OSK pop up when you select the text fields in papercut print release b. have the OSK always active and it cannot be closed. any help gratefully received Cheers
