Does anyone know what could be behind this? The teacher can draw fine using the laptop mouse so its definitely not the laptop causing the 'dead zone' on this board. I've got the whole school kitted out with various model IFP's and I've never seen this in all my years of using them.

Our school has invested heavily into Pearsons' PowerMaths scheme. It is working great mostly BUT, we have introduced Benq Interactive screen RM6501K into school. It seems that the 'drawing tool' cannot be used with the Benq Touchscreens. The drawing tool just shows 'ghosting'. The drawing tool works on our older Smartboards. It's as if there is a 'layer' that is preventing the pen from working. I have raised this issue with Pearsons and Benq with no avail. If any one has any ideas I can try that would be appreciated. regards Lorraine

Anybody seen/used/tried either of the new BenQ lamp less projectors? http://benq.co.uk/products/Projector/index.cfm/product/1314 BenQ United Kingdom - Consumer Electronics Some really interesting features, 20,000hr lamp (Longer than the Casio LED ones) Turns on & full brightness in 10seconds. 80K Contrast ratio. And this is interesting "iPad/iPhone Display Connectivity More and more schools are recognizing the benefits of teaching with Apple iPads – with teachers responding positively on how the devices have helped them succeed tremendously in engaging their students in class. The education applications open a gateway to a world of knowledge through a wide range of contents such as e-books, websites, newspapers, magazines, movies, music and games – offering students a more captivating learning experience in every subject. Evening everyone. We were wanting to purchase BenQ65" touch screens to replace our old promethium boards. We've just had a demo but I was left slightly confused as the lady demonstrated something then said something contradictory as she was leaving (I know I could ask them but I don't fancy a sales pitch, I just want a fact) She showed us how we can mirror an ipad via the instaQcast which is software preloaded into the board. As she was leaving she said it will only work with a dongle which we need to purchase, I have also heard through the grapevine that the touch screen doesn't come with the Qcast preloaded, we need to purchase it. Does anyone have these screens that could let me know, did it come with it already on and what was the dongle you had to buy (I'm trying to research but 2 are coming up 'Qcast HDMI streaming dongle' and 'USB wifi dongle' would it be any of them) Thank you

HI all, recently found a developing issue with a Benq board (model RM6502K) the board seems to crash the PC no matter which PC it is. Originally thought it was a computer driver going funky however after swapping the PC to a donor laptop while i reimage the other. the laptop had seems to have done the same which ruled out to me that the computer side was the issue. Looking at the internet not much has been mentioned on this issue and some sources say update it however i can't seem to find the update file for usb and ideas would be greatly apprecated.

Howdi, We have acquired a couple of BenQ RP551+ screens however they didn't come with remotes. Can anyone help. Cheers!!

Hi All, After a bit of a favour really. My school are looking at replacing our Smart IWBs with either Smart or BenQ (with Smart Notebook) interactive flat panels. We would quite like to see them in a real environment. Does anybody in the London area have either / or and would you be willing for a small group of us to come and have a look? We'd be very grateful. All the best, Stuart

Hi All, We've had a few 65" BenQ interactive screens put in school and they are great. However, I cannot seem to get past a small yet significant issue. The staff try to pause/freeze the screens using the blue button and there is an error or more a message that says:- "The currently playing content involves copyright protection, and the ZoomIn cannot be taken normally" Preventing them from being paused. The "content" being played is usually a powerpoint that a teacher has made. So not really copyright. can anyone shed any light on this or tell me what we are doing wrong? Many thanks John

Anyone seen this before? Is it repairable (under warranty?) or are we going to have to buy a new one? Not sure on model number, but it's a BenQ short throw

I am looking into the options for the new setup of a classroom. We have normal smartboard setups in most classes but in a couple we have some of the big BenQ interactive screens. Has anyone tried the new SMART 4000 series interactive flat panels? How would you rate them compared to the BenQ and a normal projector/smartboard?
