It’s hard to believe that BETT is only one day away. It only feels like yesterday that I was putting together our initial stand plan. With it being so close to the opening day, I wanted to take a moment of your time to tell you about what is going to be happening on our stand (F121) and on our sister companies stand (F116). Net-Ctrl, as I hope you all know now will have both Ruckus Wireless and Kaspersky Lab on our stand throughout the week to answer questions and provide information on their solutions. We will be providing free beer for all the attendees that have visited our stand throughout the day and returned with their beer token, available from one of our team, between 17.00-18.00 Wed-Fri. CNS, our sister company, are just around the corner on stand F116. They will have a range of physical security solutions including IP CCTV and door stations, video surveillance software, IP locks, door locks and much more. They will be giving away a PlayStation 4, IP-CCTV cameras and free security site surveys, so it is well worth paying them a visit. The Net-Ctrl stand is opposite Millgate, so hopefully we will have a great EduGeek crowd around our area

Thnks to everyone that has been to visit us so far... hopefully we'll see some more members today. Just a quick heads up that the prize draw will be drawn at noon today so you need to get down here ASAP if you don't already have a raffle ticket. We have some decnent prizes thanks to our sponsors and supporters... a full list will be published along with the winners later! Good luck!!!!

Terry Freedman and I are presenting at the BETT show on the Saturday, for the BCS with the above title, exploring children's informal learning outside the classroom and what implications this might have for teachers and schools. As well as a literature review and some case studies, we've also put together a quick google-form based survey (see http://edtechuk.net ) to get some quantitative data of our own. I wonder if there's any chance of some of you pointing a few students towards the above address, or passing it on to colleagues who might be able to find a spare 10-15 minutes for a class to fill in the blanks. We'll obviously be sharing our findings at BETT, and probably through some follow-up pieces afterwards. Apologies (in advance) for cross posting elsewhere.

Hey all, See the video below, a quick look at BETT with some interviews and looks and cool tech. Much more to follow - and apologies for the low bitrate, its taken about 20 transcodes to get this working, the next should be better. http://blip.tv/play/AYG9xgIA

We are exhibiting at BETT for the first time this year and wanted to know what technical issues have really been getting your goat recently. We love solving these issues within the education sector and have begun sponsoring EduGeek to help grow the community. If you’re able to pop along to our stand it’d be great to speak with you. Alternatively, if you’re not going to BETT, feedback via this thread would be much appreciated. We’ll be at stand W45.

So the lightweights have gone to bed AGES ago and it's just SimpleSi left in the bar... pure losers!

Were you at BETT '08? Did you have your camera? If you answered 'yes' to the above questions and would like to share your pics, please contact me and I will add them to my album at http://edugeek.net/forums/album.php?albumid=8 If you just want to see some of what we got up to please feel free to browse.

I am interested in attending BETT in London in January. I am looking for information from anyone that has attended before. I am a lower school technology integration teacher in Texas and am wondering if BETT would be a good fit for me. I am also interested in visiting innovative schools in London while I am there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

With BETT now just round the corner, we thought we would give you all a glimpse at the products and solutions that Net-Ctrl will be taking along with usthis year. As I’m sure many of you will know this year the show is being held at a later date (30th Jan – 2nd Feb)at the ExCel Exhibition Centre in the London Docklands; a much bigger venue that we’re really excited about. The change in venue and date means everyone thinks this could be/should be the biggest and best BETT show yet. Net-Ctrl will be in the heart of the action on stand D55. We will have four different areas on our stand each concentrating on a particular technology. The partners joining us this year include Ruckus Wireless, Palo Alto Networks, Overland Storage, Mobotix Cameras, Milestone Systems and Netgenium Systems. Please feel free to come along and take a look at all the solutions, we will have some great technical resources on the stand who will be able to (hopefully) answer any questions you have. There will also be the usual prize giveaway competitions and freebies available on the stand. Anyway as I mentioned we wanted to give you a chance to look at the products coming with us so please check out our BETT page, which provides a brief description of our partners, some great datasheets and various links for free entry and maps etc We all look forward to seeing you all there!

At this time of year, the Net-Ctrl team are normally mentally and physically preparing ourselves for four days at BETT. We are packing comfy shoes, sources of energy and planning the evening festivities. Today should be the first day on the stand at BETT 2021 with fresh minds and bodies, as it has been for the past eleven years ever since Net-Ctrl rented a corner of the EduGeek stand at our first BETT show in 2010 (perhaps even 2009?). BETT has always been a great opportunity for Net-Ctrl to showcase solutions from our technology partners, to catch-up with existing clients and to meet new ones. These face-to-face opportunities provide a wonderful platform to discuss ideas and concepts, to talk through advances in technology and to answer any questions that arise from the discussion. It also provides you, our client, with an opportunity to meet the person behind the phone, EduGeek handle and email signature. Relationships will always be a key driving force behind commercial engagements and events like BETT provide that opportunity for us to begin to build trust with you. In the current climate, where face-to-face events are a no-go, we are always looking at other ways to engage and to stimulate conversation. With this in mind, we hope, over the coming weeks to be able to announce what is on the agenda from Net-Ctrl and our partners over the coming months. However, as always if you have suggestions on topics you would like covered, please do let me know and I will try to get the best people involved. In the meantime, please know that all of us at Net-Ctrl remain ready and eager to assist you with any projects you may have.

Hi everyone, we will be attending BETT 2015 next week, with consultants at the show on Wednesday and Thursday (21st and 22nd Jan). If you would like to arrange a meeting to discuss mobile and online access to your school's MIS including Writeback, or our managed Moodle services, drop me a PM and I can get this organised for you. We also specialise in Moodle/ MIS integration. Also, we are considering taking a stand at BETT 2016 but wanted to ask the community how important BETT was in terms of finding/ seeking solution IT solutions? How important is it for you? Any contribution would be much appreciated. All the best Reeza
