6Foot2 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 At least my HM still has a sense of humour... A Headmaster with a sense of humour? A rarity indeed! Pickle him and stuff him in a jar!
AJWhite1970 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 A Headmaster with a sense of humour? A rarity indeed! Pickle him and stuff him in a jar! He's mine I tell ya, mine.... And yes, he has a cracking sense of humour and insists that while our twitter feed is corporate and functional, livening it up a bit is perfectly acceptable when the subject matter allows. Er back on topic - no snow here yet but freezing cold, that wind would cut a lesser man in half
Andrew_C Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Is it rear wheel drive? Rear engine I believe.
3s-gtech Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Is it rear wheel drive? I thought it would be front wheel, if it's front the chains are on the wrong wheels! Looks like a Fiat 126 or a Polish variant, shortened. Rear engine, rear wheel drive. Chains are right, the rest is...odd!
MkII Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 (edited) Not much more than sky dandruff here, still falling but it's all very light. Will be genuinely surprised if it ends up being disruptive in these parts. Hah! Closing up the road here. Most of the kids gone on the bus already. Just the yokels remain. 2"+ maybe and it's stopped and melting now. Edited February 27, 2018 by MkII
DCUK6 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Common weather forecast, be correct for once.
elsiegee40 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I just cleared all the snow off my car even though I don’t intend to drive today. If we get a slight thaw, I don’t want to be trying to chip it out of an iceberg tomorrow
6Foot2 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Snowing steadily here now. Has been for a while. It's showing no signs of settling. Yet...
mikeprice Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 melting here at the moment - sometimes it is going dark and snowing again but roads now totally clear
mikeprice Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Weather radar site is useful in these conditions - you can see what is coming https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar (I presume other sites are available??)
Helen25 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 (edited) Sorry @DalekSec.. it's finally started snowing here ! Edited February 27, 2018 by elsiegee40
FishCustard Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Just had a fifteen minute blast of snow in Isleworth. Not exactly a whiteout, but pretty impressive. Here's hoping they're right and we get more on Thurs/Fri. The little kid in me that loves snow has never really gone away... 1
Ksavage413 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Two short ten-min blasts here followed by sunlight. It's getting slowly closer to the time I walk home too getting snowed on and cold is the last thing I need!
ShellfishClive Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 It's off and on here, has been all day. Next time it fully lays I'll provide a picture.
Andrew_C Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Quite a lot of short flurries here too. 10 seconds later; blue sky.
MkII Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Left early as it was looking bad, and the radar looked ominous. Even avoided the country roads on the way home. Half way home and it looked like a nice spring day! No sign of snow. School are still predicting closure all week!
LeMarchand Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Just left the IT garret room and the playing field has a light coating of snow. Crossing fingers for a load tonight (but after I get back from the cinema!).
DalekSec Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 WE HAVE SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW 3
witch Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 WE HAVE SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW We just keep getting 5 mins of a few flakes and then it stops. The dog kept looking up a bit puzzled when I took him out in it earlier.
mole Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Nothing has reached Exeter yet. To be honest nothing of note reaches Exeter. 3
LeMarchand Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 To be honest nothing of note reaches Exeter. Author Philip "Mortal Engines" Reeve has been known to do stuff there! Philip Reeve
AJWhite1970 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Just arrived home and as I drove further up the hill the more snow there was. Home is looking very pretty, if it wasn’t -6c out there I’d go out for a walk in the moonlight, almost daylight out there. School making a decision tomorrow wether to scratch Thursday and Friday now, we have a massive catchment area (Reading to Weymouth believe it or not) and getting kids home will be a major issue....
