Multi Factor and Supply Staff for Cloud Services
ShellfishClive replied to paulkerton's topic in Cloud Services
The main setup we use for supply is exactly how you have mentioned above. We have a generic account "SchoolSupply", when the account isn't in use we disable and the school will ask us to enable it the day of. We find the school can wait that extra 2/3 minutes for us to enable the account and reset the password. The account itself has restricted access to the shared areas, although we do have central locations for just supply teachers to access where the teacher they are covering can drop work if needed and we have MFA turned off on these accounts as well. We can't find a way to have MFA setup where it isn't just a massive hinderance, so we have it disabled and manually just enable/disable the account as and when it's used. -
Some people have had success blocking this URL: google.com/search?udm=50 on filtering systems. Seems to make the "AI Mode" button disappear. Not tested it myself though!

What's the reason you are wanting to move away from X and what are the requirements for the platform? Is it purely to post pictures?

Just to double down on this, flexing old laptops is the best use we have found for them!

I may be wrong but from my understanding a lot of the attack were targeting specific end users (likely governments or big corps) so generally speaking most average end users were fine. Best course of action is install the latest version from here: Downloads | Notepad++ v8.9.1 or above if released, you can run a virus scan to be safe across your whole system as well, it would never hurt. Low Level has done a short but information packed video on it, definitely worth a watch if you want more info:

I've never used the intercoms with Net2 but I have seen the software crash randomly without the end user knowing. We were sent a slightly newer version of Net2 and it seemed to fix the issue so maybe go down that route if you can.

Just throwing my hat into the ring on this one, we have this for some of our sites too and we are on SBB. Has anyone completely confirmed this is a filtering/firewall issue?

I'd turn it on, it seems to make everything faster and stops the Outlook "hang" that seems to randomly appear when loading any new folder.

Weirdly that is happening for me on Chrome as well, seems like it might be a unicode issue. -
Music Lab Software Deployment - Avid Pro Tools
ShellfishClive replied to Rogueleeder's topic in Educational Software
It does come with an MSI but I'm sure the licensing side of things is a bit funny, it requires a different piece of software to license called "Ilok". I'm sure if you email them before you buy the product they'd be happy to send over the relevant information. -
It's worth checking the SNTP settings under Network Setttings -> Services Settings and then SNTP (if it's the same webpage I'm thinking of, if not search for "NTP" or "SNTP") See which server it's pointing at, it should be the same as the server that is hosting the printer, you can turn this off and set it manually but it's much better to have it enabled.
