I'm always seeing Bromcom performance issue threads these days. Can't say I would recommend them to SLT if we ever shop around. Seems to be constant issues and denials.

This might seem like a really dumb question, what are the benefits? Also how was the process of getting all the kids accounts signed up with it?

We recently moved to AccessIT. After a few teething issues at the start, it all seems good. Much better than Reading Cloud. Welcome | Accessit Library Management System Features for IT Managers | Accessit Library Management System -

ITGuyNW replied to ITGuyNW's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Yeah we had a phone call saying it's now been fixed. Fun times.. Person on the phone still tried to say it could have been our Smoothwall though!! Can't say I'm a fan at all of their customer support. The first call we raised it we were fobbed off. -

We have raised an incident with NS themselves to investigate and we are carrying out internal investigations. As soon as I have more news I will fill you in.ThanksJarrod CollingsSenior IT Engineer" It also seems to be affecting Youtube as restricted mode is on by default and we can't access half the videos. -
Internet Issues - BT Lancs
ITGuyNW replied to ITGuyNW's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
My colleague is the phone to them now to see what can be done and they've finally said other Schools are having the same issue and it's now being escalated. Seems to be certifications issued by BTLS not being trusted. If I go to http://www.amazon.co.uk, export the certificate and import it into my own trusted store, the website works. Timescale for resolution?.... no idea.. -
Hi all Anyone else experiencing issues accessing https sites since midday? We keep getting privacy errors. Edugeek is ok as it's unsecured... Rang BT and they're denying all however when we connect directly out physically through their equipment we get the same issues. Weirdly BBC News is fine...

As far as I can see, email addresses only have one section under student details > 4. Telephone and Email addresses The family section does not have any email address field, so they are in the section mentioned above.

If SIMS already has parental email addresses, how do you deal with those? Export all data from SIMS to csv, move those email addresses to a work column then have the pupils email addresses as their primary/main address?

[mdt] Question about MDT & Windows 11 Support.
ITGuyNW replied to AlteredAdmin's topic in O/S Deployment
I've used MDT for Windows 11 and it was fine. I believe WDS only is deprecated with Windows 11 though. -
