To mirror others, I have installed Windows 11 on a HP 840 G1 laptop from MDT and it went fine. However like others I'm weary about pushing forward with any rollout as Microsoft could crack out the ban hammer at any point.

If its the same dynabook laptops we had, they're not bad tbh! Added drivers to MDT, reimaged, no issues. Seem zippy enough.

Ours has stopped working... anyone elses?
-
hmm that's what we have but its still asking for credentials. Gonna have to do some more testing I think.

Just tried and not working for me either. If I click Manage Library and sits and does nothing. If I go to the direct microlibrarian link I get redirected to reading cloud.

I've just been looking into the taskbar stuff This article says you can set it when you sysprep? Customize the Windows 11 Taskbar | Microsoft Docs but this article details other methods Configure and customize Windows 11 taskbar - Configure Windows | Microsoft Docs I tried one of them and obviously it didn't work. Has anyone looked at this yet?

So going back to the beginning.... being asked for credentials.. Has anyone solved this by having the drivers on the image? I've made a new image with 21H2, I can see the drivers in the driverstore on the image, but If I log in as a user it's asking for credentials. or is that usual behaviour?

More expensive than a HDMI cable but I've used a Microsoft wireless adapter before now instead of HDMI without hassle on a Promethean Titanium. Microsoft Wireless Display V2 Adapter - Black | Ebuyer.com

[blackberry] Blackberry kills support for handsets
ITGuyNW replied to Dos_Box's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
I worked for Carphone Warehouse in repairs at the time Blackberry were at their peak. They then brought out cheaper handsets like the 8520 and it was game over really. The amount of them that I had to process was ridiculous. Blackberry wouldn't accredit us to repair them so they had to be sent back to Blackberry themselves who would swap the device. Could take 2-4 weeks. The problem with swapping was massive... the persons Blackberry pin would then be different and because they were getting refurbished replacements, they would be getting messages from strangers to their new pins. It was a nightmare and they were awful to deal with. Glad to see the back of them. -
I have 350 on 1909, due to start updating to 21H2 from this term but had no issues...yet....

Hiding digital signage players out-of-sight
ITGuyNW replied to DrBeaker's topic in How do you do....it?
This. The amount of time troubleshooting, implementing, fixing etc. I now just have a USFF Windows pc with XIBO that sits there and runs without any issue. -
I'm just trying to remember how I solved this... I got the icons for the ones missing, put them in a folder on the share then on the original shortcut, properties/change icon and pointed at the correct icon in the folder.

As you have KM, have you had any excuses from them about toner? Apparently there have been issues?

It's patch tuesday next week so I'm going to wait and see what happens with those

So the registry file that people have put in place, is that a semi-permanent thing now? or are we waiting for Microsoft to release any further updates? I know there were recent updates that addressed the errors however there's still the prompting of credentials if a non admin tries to install drivers.

Yeah and infact when I uninstall Sophos from a machine, I still get the issue where I can shut chrome etc down via task manager but cannot block websites. Chrome/Edge are picking up the extension as I can see it light up on the machine but for some reason blocking isn't working.

Apart from disabling javascript completely to make google look like a mess.... nope.
